Beeping when Driver Door Open after Sticky Ignition Fix
Hi there,
First of all, I wanted to say thanks for all the info in the Sticky Ignition fix thread and PDF (rekcah especially!). Ignition would no longer turn this weekend right before a camping trip, but thankfully I had actually printed off the Sticky Ignition PDF a while back due to some concern that it might happen. Oh, if only I had just fixed it while the key was still turning.
So I had to drill out the pin and spent all of Saturday and Sunday working at it with a drill (regular, titanium and cobalt bits) until I finally broke down and purchased a dremel tool with a diamond-tipped engraving bit. Worked like a charm and my Crossfire is now running again.
However, now it is making a beeping noise when I open the driver's side door, as if the key was still in the ignition. I found two previous threads (here and here) on the subject, but didn't see any immediate solutions.
Things I've already tried:
Disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, then reconnecting.
Disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, then reconnecting.
Redoing all the steps of the Sticky Ignition fix in the hope that something just wasn't set properly (based on pizzaguy's advice).
Anyone else have this problem and figure out a solution?

Normally the key has to have been turned to the 'ON' position and then to the 'OFF' position and the door opened before you will hear the tone with the key in place. Is this when you hear the tone?
