Seeing that your geographically close to me this might be helpfull!
What rims are you running? I switched to tsw wheels and went with a tire size larger than factory. I don't remember exactly what the size was its been a few years. I know for a fact you can easily run a 265 rear I think I had a 245 in the front. This puts more rubber between your wheels and the road. The pot holes on our high ways are terrible on low profile tires. Going up a size for 10 dollars more per tire this seemed to greatly improve the wear and life. Oh and it's a known fact that the stock non srt wheels even with minor curb rash can cause the wheel to loose its integrity. Just switching to the tsw wheels before going with a bigger tire was a great improvement on tire wear.
