I remember back when..
When I was working at our family owned delaership i remember when they first came out in 2004. From that point on to 4 yrs ago i finally got one. Pricey too if i remember right.
Back from 2004-2007 I had the pleasure of working with a local Chrysler Jeep dealership putting on a Jeep show. I remember in 2005 when the roadster was launched they had two Limited models sitting right in front of the showroom (a Sapphire Blue and a Blaze Red) about a month before the Jeep show. The owner happened to walk by as I was checking out the blue one and asked if i wanted to drive it. Having no where near enough money to buy one, and not wanting to fall in love with something I could not afford I chickened out. We staged that jeep show four years and they always seemed to have a Crossfire in the showroom. Those Limited roadsters were the first I saw in person, I saw my first SRT-6 and the SE at that dealership also. They were one of the dealerships that Chrysler ditched around 2008. I ran into the owner last April at a local Chevrolet dealer where he is now a salesman. I told him that I recently purchased a Crossfire roadster and he had nothing but praise for the car. Turns out he has owned a couple in the past and that he wants to get another.

Not to be picky but they came out in '03. I know because that is when I bought mine. I remember being struck speechless when I saw mine close up. Sat in the seat for the first time and giggled like a school girl. They could have charged me most anything but luckily I had the copilot along to do the negotiations.
