Hey all. Another New Owner here
Hey everybody. I''ve been looking at Xfires for about a year and finally bought one. I've been driving a Grand Cherokee for the past 6 years so this is a tad different but I love it! Here are some pics that I took the day after.

I'll update my sig when I get a chance. Speaking of that, what's the deal with putting the last part of the VIN in the sigs? Is it just for fun?

Congrats on the new purchase; I like the blaze red.
I know you will enjoy the Xfire as most owners on the forum do.
There have been some problems that you will read about but over-all the experience has been great.
As far as the VIN on the signature, there is no particular reason for that. I don't have my VIN there.
It's your option. As you know VIN is unique to your car and I guess is part of your vehicles signature if there is such a thing.

The label inside the driver's door jamb has that data on it. It has a date of manufacture, which is month and year. There is also an MDH next to the VIN, which is the month, day and hour of manufacture.
Tim are u in Oz? if so, where abouts? Where did u get your ride from and how much ?
Im taking delivery of my car on Thursday - Blaze Red Crystal, 6 spd, grey/Black leather.

Oops, sorry, not aussie, I'm canukian (Canadian). I got my ride from one of the dealers here in Edmonton and paid about $40,200 Canadian for it (subtracting refunds and price lowering).

Welcome to the forum Tim and Chad. Some of us "Old Timers" check in now and then to welcome newbies and vicariously share in the joy of a new Crossfire purchase. Like anything, new tends to wear off, just takes a little longer with the fantastic Crossfire. After owning mine for a year the joy is still there but is somewhat tempered by familiarity.
Build numbers (serial numbers) are assigned to cars as they are built. Some of the early cars had assembly problems such as improper welds, loose or ill fitting glove compartment doors, etc. Most of these problems seem to have been resolved by build number 5000 or so. My Crossfire (9941) an "early" car has been solid and problem free. Good luck with your Crossfires - and enjoy.

G'day XFyred,
Congrats on your new ride ... you must've negotiated a pretty sweet deal then?
Mine's at the body shop getting all the trim painted ... let me know when you order the parts to get it lowered, i may be interested.
