That's the first ZL-1 I've ever seen on the street......close to 1,000 HP between the two of them. Also did the Corvette Museum......the sinkhole was viewable through glass.....many of the destroyed Vettes on display......NOT restorable!

In the corvette museum, GM took several back to there factory shop to restore them. Was a huge dang sinkhole huh? What a shame right under the museum.

You can't even take a cell phone into the Corvette Assembly plant. In the museum my wife took video, but no photos. The museum is OK.....not fantastic.......the assembly plant is really worth doing.

They were really lucky, happened in the middle of the night, could have been dozens of people in that big room. Museum is only about a mile from the plant. In the museum there were about ten new Corvettes....people apparently pay extra to pick up their new Vettes inside the museum. We bought a new Corvette back in 1978.......I drove it for ten years......zero QC back then!!!!!

That is actually an option to buy when you order a new Vette.

This was sort of our "dead presidents" vacation.......after Bowling Green we visited Monticello, Mount Vernon, the Biltmore & The Hermitage....&the Parthenon in Nashville..

If you've never been to the Biltmore.....MUST DO. Unbelievable.

2,750 miles round trip.....7+ days.
