Gee! mbepic, I hope your wrong! The Delorean and Bricklin were more Privateers using parts from the big guys. I was thinking more on the big car builders like DC's Prowler line, but: You play your cards and you take your chances! Happy Holidays!

I'm going through the lemon law now & I may have a chance to get my money back. I really didn't consider how inconvenient a 2-seater would be. I looked at the 350 before the crossfire but with 2 seats & a higher price tag...well you know the rest.

I just learned that the G35 had a back seat! The Infinity FX45 also looks great! They both have heated seats & great Nav systems. I'm really considering dumping my Crossfire & getting a new-used G35 or FX45. The only thing I can't let go of is how rare the Crossfire is around town (even in LA where you see all kinds of exotic cars daily). This is my first BRAND NEW car. I sure wouldn't want to regret giving it up to get a used car. Grrrr.
You are such a lucky guy. The lemon law and all. My crossfire will probably be the most reliable car ever made lol.

In case there might be confusion......................................
I'm not going to run down to the MB House and trade my XF in on a 350SLK......................

I just meant that MAYBE, AFTER CHECKING REAL CLOSE, I, MAYBE, MIGHT have purchased one initially.
I'm happy with REDCROSS and once I get him "Personalized" I'll even be happier.

REMEMBER..................
There will always be something different in everything from Shoes to Ships that catches our eye and changes our desires............
but that doesn't mean we aren't satisfied with what we have........FOR THE MOMENT!!!!!!!!!

let me just say this first off, i love my xfire, i really do, i think if you don't like the power you can just take it up to your favorite mountain road and see how easily you can embarass cars with 50 more horsepower with you around those curves. happened with my and my buddy, he has an 03 wrx with a full sti version 7, gcb, suspension and vishnu stage one with prodrive wheels that alloow 235 rubber all around. i literally blew his doors off. i pulled over to an area where you overlook a resevoir and got out of my car and lit my cigarrete before he got there. this was after about 10 minutes of all out driving. moments like that will really make you appreciate this car, although the first thing my friend said was, "man, i dont think i can drive for ****."

But at the end of the day i got to say, no matter what anyone thinks, it needs at least 30 more hp, if it performed power wise like the new slk350 this car would be considered an american legend. thats a fact i dont think anyone can argue with. how many american 2 seaters looked this good, handeled this well, and with that power, damn.

no everyone always says "didn't you test drive it?" or, "didn't you read the specs" and yes, jackasses, we all did. but i, myself, and im sure others included, although no one said it, somehow put myself under the impression that hey, mopar is going insane with modding cars-srt 4 packages- they must see the potential of this car. ill buy this car for an awesome price and have a crapload of factory backed performance parts available in couple months. it just seemed logical to me, and with the mopar car at sema maybe it will become true.

but here we are and nothing, absolutely nothing is out in the aftermarket. the biggest arguments on this site are about chips that give you ten hp........big deal. we've been waiting for this guy to make intakes for like 6 months, big deal, 8hp. i want some real parts for this car and haven't given up hope they will come out.

so for now i just drive straight slow, and when that makes me depressed, head for the twisties. it is embarassing though having to turn down races because i know i am going to lose. but i hold on hope. wake the Fuc# up mopar, we want performance.
Love,
mike

oh yeah, got a little off topic, here's my list
s2k
g35-4 door, dont know why, just like being different
srt-4- knew i should got it, but love rwd too much
wrx- it really would bug me as a daily driver, i hate squeeks and creeks and cheap interiors, even though im a performance nut, in my daily driver
rx8-wanted it, but its a disgrace to the rotary heritage, this coming from someone who owned the original rx7, the sa, before fb, fc, or fd existed.
and of course a bunch of cars i couldnt afford-sti, m3, evo, mustang cobra-03(so nice), e36 m3-just too old but came close to this one too-, 2001 s4-super fast, and a gti- woulda got one but vw pissed me off when they "lost" my deposit on the gti 337 i wanted 2 years ago. thats all
next car-evo

I considered the SLR but I found it a little "twitchy" at speed (above 180mph) and the GT was a little loud around town city driving.
Oh well, you can't win them all.

there wasn't any other consideration prior to my purchase of the xfire, when it was first rolled out, I knew this was the one. My reasoning was that it had german specs. I have had German auto's prior in my life, and just likedthe idea that it was a Mercedes based auto. I LOVE MY CROSSFIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
