I'm in the process of adding some Daytime Running Lights (Philips Daylight 8) and it says to hook the lights directly to the battery, but isn't there a way to just go connect to the fuse block & frame??

I can connect to the fuse block by using a fuse tap like the bottom one on this page.

Yes, I'm really liking the info Sparkie put on here. It's so cool to have that post in the Fuse Block that comes live when switch is on.

 

I use these for DRLs. Osram LED Light@Day. Most impressive looking DRLs I could find. Dimmable. A single very bright LED shoots sideways through an advanced reflector giving the lamp the illusion of a single light bar with absolutely uniform light distribution, unlike the average DRLs with 5 or 6 LED spots showing. Type Osram LED Light@Day in Google for YouTube vids and the like. They used to be sold only in Europe but I noticed that AutohauzAZ now stocks them!!

They look nice Syfi. They are about the same size as the Philips from what I can tell from the photos.

I think I'll like the Philips just fine, but I really wanted longer ones as the Crossfire could fit longer one's but just couldn't find any except maybe those cheapo ones on Ebay for like 10 dollars and such.

The Philips (and Osram) look OEM which is good so it won't look cheesy or ricer. I will be mounting mine a bit above where you put yours and connecting to the bumper.
