Engine swap help!!!
Thinking about swapping the engine in my 04 crossfire early next year since they say turboing it is sort of hard because the benz engine. People also say it's hard because if I find another engine it might not fit. If I do decide to replace the engine.. should I replace it with another benz engine or can I get other manufacturer engines. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???? need help...
I hate to say it, but use the search function.
There are threads here about this - and a handful of Mercedes/AMG engines are candidates. Search "V8" and I think you''l have PLENTY to read!

If I were doing a swap, it would be a current (2010+) Chysler Pentastar DOHC 4-valve 3.6 HP V6 with 290-305 hp NA and bolts to either the 5 speed automagic or the 6 speed manual (in current Wranglers). Might take some tweaking since is a 60 degree V6.
If must have a 90 degree the previous SOHC 3.7 V6 was a 90 degree design like the 3.2. & also uses the same trannys but lower revving and lower peak (215) hp.
Just some domestic thoughts.
