Has anyone successfully installed seats from an SLK into an 04 XF coupe without extensive modification?


I used the search tab for this, and went back to threads from 2011, but did not find a definitive answer.


I called the Chrysler dealer to see if they thought the seat rails/mounts were the same as the SLK, they had no idea. Called the MB dealer , they will give no info without a VIN number, which of course I do not have.


Not looking to spend hundreds on an experiment buying a seat that won't work.


Also wondering if wiring/plugs on seat with power and heat will plug into the XF harness.


Have found an upholsterer who can reshape the bolsters to my liking, but now cannot find a used seat at a decent price with upholstery in decent enough condition to use in a 30,000 mile car, and I don't want to experiment on the near perfect seat that's in the car.

search on car-part.com, there are lots of seats available, you might get lucky and find one reasonably priced and within driving distance.

 

Yes, 98-04 SLK seats will fit a Crossfire. Exact same chassis.

 

Thanks for the responses. Question to ImportLabSRT: did you install the MB seats in the XF,
or know someone who did?
