Default Dash/Radio light flicker/flutter and car has shut off at idle

I recently (2 months ago) changed my battery. Since then at times - At idle the dash/radio lights will flicker/flutter and twice the car has shut off at idle.

Took the car to an auto electric place - turned on/off all electric goodies while idling, while they used the multi meter - Diagnosis - no battery/alternator issues.

I suspect it may be the voltage regulator.. Any ideas?

The 'voltage regulator' IS the alternator, or at least a part of it.
I would be highly suspicious of the battery negative cable connection to the frame just ahead of the battery.
( that might have got jostled a bit during the battery replacement )

I have the exact same problem on my 2005 Limited roadster with the addition of when I'm driving at night can I pull up to a stop light or a stop sign the lights will suddenly grow a little dimmer and I mean all the lights inside and out , it's like it has auto dimmer and not the same as if the battery is going dead or the alternator is not charging any thoughts would be appreciated

Look at the areas where the cables attach to the body, battery etc. Look at the cables as well as these cables have been found to have corroded inside the insulation.
Look inside the box with the large fuses, this is beside the battery and look for bad contacts due to corrosion etc, not likely but who knows.

Had an issue where all lights including dash lights would fluctuate intensity at idle. Replaced the alternator. All is now well.

Okay this is a follow up on the lights flickering problem, and this also confirmed that my wife is right !! I am a procrastinator, I finally decided to go out and check the battery connections and the ground connection. There was no corrosion on either one but the battery terminals were somewhat loose so I pulled them off cleaned them and the terminals put them back on and tighten them up properly , no more lights flickering problem, this just goes to show how sensitive the electronics in this vehicle are, thank you 180 for your advice and I hope this helps others with similar problems.
