What would you due with $1,000.00
Hi every one, my wife gave me $1000.00 for Christmas to spend on my 06 Limited, it has only 12,000 on the clock and outher than new plugs, K&N air filters, and a new battery. It is bone stock . So what would you do?

Put it in the bank for future repairs. The battery makes sense - buy an AGM. It's too soon for plugs and Mercedes recommends replacing tires that are 10 years old, so ditto on those.
Hi all I have finely decided to try to be a bit more involved in our form. Thanks to all who replyed to this post, I am leaning towards dustless brake pads and new tires as I am comming up on 10 years for the Oem's. With help from 180 replaced the battery last year ( fit perfectly ) I am trying to use the search function on the form to learn how to up load pic from my IPad to a thread. I have the neatest tool for removing the windsheild wipers that cost $ 6.00 and it was like it was made just for this job.
Cheers for now

I would also suggest changing the Stereo head unit. I just replaced the infinity head unit in my 2005 Jeep.....all I can say is WOW. I should have replaced the head unit in the Crossfire a long time ago had I known it could make this much difference. Even with the stock speakers it is a day and night improvement. Plus now I have Bluetooth and can stream from my android.
If you are into performance, then do the cold air intake and a tune. But tires, brakes, are important as well. But when my wife gives me a gift, routine maintenance doesn't count...so the cold air intake and tune would be the top of the list.
Thanks guys, I like the idea of the tune but can not do the MAF 74 that goes with the tune. Perhaps you are saying that you could do the tune now, get a modest performance and fule gain. ( does any know how much that would be with the stock air box with K&N ) and do the MAF later?
