Default Headlamps - high beam vs. low beam

According to my owners manual both the high beam and low beam bulbs are both H7's. I would like to replace all four bulbs with HID bulbs of about 5000K but when I search ebay many of them refer to either low beam or high beam. My questions is...is there really a difference in the required bulbs? And now that I have your attention approximately what degrees K was originally in the vehicle?

I believe most OEM bulbs of years past are 4300K. I read an article that 4300K is the most effective lighting for our eyes.

Agree with the 4300K H7 HID bulbs, BUT !
It is recommended to NOT install HID's in the high beams as they take too long to come up to full brightness so "flashing" your high beams is ineffective.
Yes, both High and low beam bulbs are the same H7.
