Smile xfire problems

I've been reading abount various problems that different members have experienced with their Crossfire and can't relate to these. We had a 2001 SLK prior to the 2005 Crossfire Limited Roadster. The quality of the Crossfire is similar to that of the Benz. No problems. Either we are lucky, or perhaps being a later build number (39001) has eliminated the previous problems. Have the number of problems gone down as the build number increases?

I have been happy with mine. It had the early problems but they were dealt with to my satisfaction in a timely manner. A rattle to the rear, some window noise, a new radio and a kinked hose. Hardly a litany of woe and trouble. Not bad for a car that was fast tracked into production. Just turned 10K. Love the car.

Issues that were not able to be worked out over 6 months resulted in a buy back offer.

I think most of the issues were with low build numbers, which is something to be expected with any new model. I haven't had a single problem with mine in 12K miles. It's important to remember that most people only say something when there is a problem. When everything is fine they typically stay quiet.
