maybe this difference has something to do with why the mileage people are getting in this poll is significantly higher than many of us here in the u.s. would expect.

I can get use to that mileage.

Personally, I've got nothing against the English (even support their "soccer" team sometimes because ours is SO CR4P!), but I'd never admit that while standing in a Glasgow Pub!
As for what else is advantageous about being British.... C'mon man - you mean you don't wish you lived in the country with the highest rate of lung cancer and heart disease per capita on the planet? And where the climate is 10 months of winter and 2 months of bad weather??
Right, I'm off back to my sun lamp to finish my black pudding supper!!

Add some good old haggis with extra pig intestines, and you have a fine meal to enjoy....(Add some Wallace whiskey liqueur to drown the taste.)

If I'm right, the Candadians aren't terribly fond of those in the US, and I know the Swiss don't like Germans.

TBH the car looks so out of the odinary across here that it gets a LOT of attention anyway - without mods.
Having said that, your car looks sweet! Is that just lowered and tints. or have you done other stuff too?
On topic... another tankful @ 19.3 US MPG. I can't wait to take it on a long trip to see if I can get upwards of 24 or 26. I should add my normal commute, while it does include some highway is fairly short, esp in CA terms.
Well, someone admitted to 15 MPG....the poll average appears to be about 25, with about 2/3 getting 23 and greater....since mine has NEVER gotten more than 21, and averages 18 or 19, I'm still not terribly pleased by the results....any suggestions on remedying this, my complaints have resulted in the answer that gas mileage varies, and there is nothing wrong with my car....(except it should be getting at least 23 MPG)
Think I should do a poll for the people with 23mpG or above to find out what gasoline brand (shell, exxon,) they use? I'm still getting 19 MPG, the most ever was 21 MPG, which doesn't seem to equate with what most people get.
I just checked mileage I'm getting and found its right above 23mpg. Not too
bad, seeing how I can't keep my foot out of it... 23mpg out of a supercharged
moter. who'dve thunk it... BP/Amoco premium.

avg between 16-city 22 hi way kinda lousy for such a light car with a small motor .Girlfriend has a 05 nissan maxima 22 city and 28 hi way not bad for a large car 265 hp pretty fast also
When I drive mine on a daily bases it's usually about 22 miles a day in total. I hit the interstate and drive 6 or 7 miles at 65 to 70mph, sometimes I hit 85mph or so, then I turn off back to city driving, where I put another 4 miles in the city. I get about 23 miles per gallon by the way I drive. I use the most gas up in the city on those rabbit take offs at the lights, because that's when most people are checking the car out and wondering if it runs. ( I'm like, "Sure man, Zooo-o-o-o-m-m-m." I like doing that! ) Last road trip I took, which was about 135 miles round trip, driving at speeds from 60 to 70mph I got about 26 mpg. I have just installed K&N 33-2290 air filters and hope it performs better.
