Default driving in the snow

Anyone with any experience driving one of these cars in the snow?
Any suggestions, like you are going to need snow tires

Driving in Detroit...We have a foot+ on the ground. My dealer threw 250 lbs of salt in the trunk. With a manual tranny, I find driving better than my recent 528.
