About 115 on the straightaway at Button Willow Raceway before I had to dive into the next turn... Sorry guys, I drive like an old woman when I'm on city streets and highways...
I'm a bit of a road course warrior... Give me a road track, or twisty canyon road... The only speed you worry about is the speed that the car is going to break loose and send you over the cliff or into the wall...

138 on the 60E freeway in california, damn i woulda been the fastest but mexican crossfire went and stole the glory...i dont even have 2000 miles on my car, i had to see what it could do though! it handled like it was going 60 by the way, the only thing that terrified me and caused me to let off the gas was when i was taking a freeway lazy turn i hit the reflectors between the lanes, and at 138 they seem extra close and it felt like i almost kicked the back end of the car out, so i let off the gas and called it a day.

Had mine at 140 mph and I had quite a bit more pedal had I wanted to stay in it , the Xfire tracked like it was glued to the pavement. Im running Michelin Pilot Sport rubber on Detata polished wheels and the rubber seems to really grip/grab the pavement. I try not to spin my wheels although on occassion it happens when I'm starting from a dead stop and have it in 2nd. or 1st and hard accelerating to get on a heavily traveled State hwy.sometimes they spin but only for a brief second or two. I'm not into high speed, I bought this vehicle cause it is a 2 seater sports car, had I wanted a race car I could of bought one. One problem I'm running in to is every young punk in his 5.0 Mustang wants to race me. Little do they realize this little 6 cyl. can probably smoke the 5.0 V8 Mustang but I'm not going to be the guinnie pig... Had a Ford Escort all dolled up with spoiler and the ground effects roll up beside me the other morning at 5:30 am, he kept racing his motor and challanging him. I turned my interior light on and waved to him my middle finger. This guy really wanted me to run him but I wasnt going to, I didnt want to blow away a 4 cyl. Escort and make him feel like a dumbass instead I waived the middle finger to him and that pissed him off and he took off like spitting and spuddering, his POS even backfired a couple of times....

And yeah, it`s very probable that that particular road os longer than all the UK!!
In Mexico you don't have to worry about cameras and cops, but you have to take into account that our roads are very far from ok and our highways are not autostradas or autobahns, while I'm going 168 mph there are trucks and other cars doing 45 mph.

I agree with you, I have a straight section of nice smooth 2 lane (with shoulders) approx 2 miles long, no driveways, no trees, very little traffic. So far (other than the track), its the only place I'll really unwind it.
I think this is a very irresponsible thread and you should all be ashamed of yourselves don't you know how dangerous these kind of speeds are on public roads.....
About 140 ish on the M11 at 2am...
