I try not to spin my wheels although on occassion it happens when I'm starting from a dead stop and have it in 2nd. or 1st and hard accelerating to get on a heavily traveled State hwy.sometimes they spin but only for a brief second or two. I'm not into high speed, I bought this vehicle cause it is a 2 seater sports car, had I wanted a race car I could of bought one. One problem I'm running in to is every young punk in his 5.0 Mustang wants to race me. Little do they realize this little 6 cyl. can probably smoke the 5.0 V8 Mustang but I'm not going to be the guinnie pig... Had a Ford Escort all dolled up with spoiler and the ground effects roll up beside me the other morning at 5:30 am, he kept racing his motor and challanging him. I turned my interior light on and waved to him my middle finger. This guy really wanted me to run him but I wasnt going to, I didnt want to blow away a 4 cyl. Escort and make him feel like a dumbass instead I waived the middle finger to him and that pissed him off and he took off like spitting and spuddering, his POS even backfired a couple of times....
Anyways, I have gotten the crossfire up to about 130ish. Was pretty stable and all just takes to long to get there. The longer you do it the better chance of getting caught.
I'd honestly compare it to my very good small-block (283) 'vette from the 60s. we ran low 15s before we modified it to run low to mid 11s. We've been so far away from having muscle cars for a long time, aside from nitrous. It's nice to punch it and have a response. I've driven 5.0 Mustangs and they're comparable. The showmanship...or oneupsmanship is what's important...the element of surprise. (Plus the Crossfire will outcorner the Mustang and a lot of other iron.)
Today 252 Km/h (157.5 MPH) on the Autobahn A2 Germany (light down hill) then I have to use the brakes because a other car x my line with 75 MPH. I can tell you that the XF brakes are very good and the money worth ;-)). My heart goes donw im my shoes at that moment. I hope I will brake the 160 MPH on that light down hill part of the A2 Autobahn next time.

Hey uncle, I agree, who has time to look at the speedo when you're diving into a turn after the straightaway. I think, maybe I've hit 115 +/- on the straight at Button Willow.
Uncle, Road Atlanta must have a really long straight away. I haven't had the opportunity to run that course yet. The furthest east I've run the car at is Sandia Motor Speedway outside Albuqurque NM. Mostly here in CA. and all the road courses have very short straights 1500' +/-. Coming out of the last turn with the pedal to the metal I can only hit maybe 120 before braking and diving into turn 1.

bulseye, when will you going to grow up and learn that streets are for getting from point A to point B. If you want to race go to a race track like uncle_al and toolroom. All you are going to win on a street is bragging right to having killed some innocent person. But drag racing on a street that has a traffic light obviously is not the place to race. go to a drag strip. Maybe when they lock you up for manslaughter you will stop this insane street racing. I think oceancontainer's response was VERY APPROPRIATE.
Think my top speed was around 145 on the M3 last Friday night. Should find out pretty soon as went through Police Speed Check. Didn't seem any point in slowing down at the time.
And the Police are using an unmarked silver skoda (the big model) on the M3. Will post its plate next time I see it. Saw it pull over a Golf GTI who was doing around 90.

He told me that if he ever saw me going faster than the speed limit on the city streets he would drive the car up my ***... By the way, the small track at Willow Springs is called (SOWS), "Streets of Willow Springs", so if, in future posts, I ever refer to "THE STREETS" it means the small road course at Willow Springs.
