Are you smelling an antifreeze odor? Depending on your brand it will be a light sweet or heavy sweet smelling odor. Green stuff coming from the air ducts (no matter what it is) is not a good thing. Check your antifreeze level when the car is cold from the radiator cap, NOT the overflow bottle. If it is full to the top of the radiator then monitor the level in the overflow bottle. Good luck!

Foam probably coming off HVAC Cabin Filter. If filter changes are neglected (& most are by previous XFire Owners), the foam seal will start to degrade & flake off. Filter element sometimes is difficult to remove due to filter sticking to housing as foam degrades.
