Default Filter Suggestions

New to Crossfire & Forum. I would appreciate any suggestions on quality filters (intake, oil, etc.) and best place to purchase. Thanks.

And these are re-boxed Mann Fleece filters:

It seems the Mann-HU 718/5 X Metal-Free Oil Filter is the highly recommended oil filter. Is there a recommended air cleaner filter(s); make and part number? Thanks

It seems the MANN-HU718/5X Oil Filter is the overall recommended oil filter. Is there one for the air cleaner filter(5); brand and part number?

There are many who buy K&Ns or nothing. Personally, I buy the generic Purolator.

The big deal with the oil filter is how the paper elements collapse so easily and often.

I too, would like some suggestions for the engine air filter. K&N is a great filter but, the cost seems exorbitant for a car that is only driven in fair weather on paved roads (in my case, anyway). Any ideas or suggestions on the Fram filters, or the Mahle filters. Rock auto has both of those filters and the prices seem reasonable. I'd love to go the K&N route but for a car that's only driven about 2,000 or maybe 3,000 miles a year, K&N seems like an overkill.

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts.

Jim

I'd go with the Mahle, Fram is bottom line.
