Purchased 2005 car in June of 2015

Today, both fob's would not unlock door or start car. Took one fob to batteries plus and they tested and said it was low so replaced batteries. The door still will not unlock. I read on another fob topic that the red light will come on if the batteries are good. I had never noticed them before. They were not coming on and are still not.

I last drove the car on Sunday. Could the battery have drained? I do not know how old it is. I will place the charger on it now.

 

Just plugged in the charger and the alarm sounded until I pressed the red button.

I will let you know it it runs in the morning.

 

The red light on the FOB is hard to see. Usually if your in a dark place or cup your hands around the eye you can see it. Even then, with a full battery, it's faint, but can be seen...

 

Well, this is embarrassing. Apparently, I left the dome light on

 

LOL...your not the first an won't be the last...

 

I left my left parking lights on once when I first got the car, battery doa in morning. Now I remember not to turn it all the way left

 

Yes parking light got me too !
