Things To Avoid 'Cause It's End Of the Month!
Just got my first ticket today and it's almost embarrassing. My ticket was for "Improper Passing On Shoulder". I was on a two lane blacktop and a car ahead was stopped trying to turn left across traffic. Well, the Explorer in front of me went around the stopped car and I followed. Unfortunately, there was a drive on the right side and as I went around the stopped car, I basically cut off the police officer as he was pulling out to nab the Explorer. Needless to say, the Explorer got away clean and I got the ticket. I'm really not looking forward to the 120 days of court supervision. Oh well, live and learn.

Seriously, sorry to hear that. Hope it's not gonna end to bad.
Good luck.
Actually, court supervision is like probation. In order to get supervision, I have to admit guilt, pay $105 in fines, and attend a 4 hour traffic safety course. If I do not get any additional citations in 120 days from the court date noted on my citation, my record is wiped clean. So basically, if you see a black Crossfire coupe in the right lane going the speed limit between now and December 8th, it'll probably be me. I went 15 years without a ticket, hopefully I can go another 120 days.
It's the legal way of bribing the judicial system...in a different form because for those that can't afford it, they go to jail!

That stinks! You must have graduated from "Anger management class". I applaud you!
You have to pay the fines regardless whether you pursue court supervision or not, and the only way to get the court supervision is to attend the traffic safety course.
I knew that passing on the shoulder wasn't legal, but I did it and got caught, so I don't feel I have any reason to be mad. Don't get me wrong, I would have much preferred just a warning, but I can accept the consequences of my own actions.
Honestly, not a lot of things make me mad, but Cyril is doing his best to be one of the exceptions.

Case closed and ticket was dismissed after 3 months fighting in court!
The Governor, Attorney General (the State Trooper's lawyers actually), the Congressman, Internal Affairs, NAACP and ACLU all got involved with my case!
There's nothing mightier with a pen than a sword! File a complaint if you think you have been wronged by these crooked cops! I'm still wishing I could sue them though but it's a David against Goliath case.
I have delivered my point and it worked!

I got pulled over in Madison, Wi on my way home from work for changing lanes too fast he said, I crossed 2 lanes in less than 20 ft traveled. He was in plain clothed and I asked where is his funny looking hat. I also asked if he was off duty or undercover. He said, none of your business. Then he told me he ran out of tickets so he would send me one for $169 for unsafe lane change. How do they run out of tickets? It now has been 45 days after he said it would be here and no ticket in the mail. My personal opinion is he was jealous and wanted to harass me because I have a better car than him.
That's actually what happened in my case as they've been stalking me for 5 miles / 9 traffic lights and later on realized how much of a loser they are for not having one...accused me of speeding (which they didn't issue a ticket), racing-acceleration of speed (which they dismissed) and reckless driving (which they mailed the ticket after dismissing the racing-acceleration offense).
We can call it POWER OUT OF CONTROL!
We can call it POWER OUT OF CONTROL!
He followed me for 3 miles, 6 lights, 2 cars behind me. He waited till we were in a construction area to pull me over so i swooped in between 2 barrels and parked he did a 98 point turn with his police truck to get it behind me. I had a bumper sticker on my old car that said, Bad cop no donut. I wish I still had it.
