Default 2004 Crossfire No brake lights

Hi everyone I’m new to the group! I recently purchased a 2004 crossfire with tons of issues and I’ve been able to conquer all except one. The brake lights just won’t work. I replaced the brake switch. The relay. The 50 amp fuse. Checked the bulbs themselves and the 3rd brake light won’t illuminate as well. So I’m stuck anything helps! Thanks!

Check fuses and output from the illumination module.

I am hoping you have downloaded the online service manual (showing wiring diagrams and component locations)? After checking the fuses in the illumination module located between the door and inner dash area, check the next thing. A step not mentioned is take a voltmeter and open either brake lamp bulb assemblies to see if you have the 12V present at the bulb socket when the brake pedal is pressed. If the 12V is there when the pedal is pressed, you have a ground out. Lookiing at the wiring diagram, you can see the color codes for the grounds (brown) in the lower left corner (3 wire runs) used for the voltage test, and the ground wire drop points. Good luck finding this if it is a ground problem.
