cargo area light bulb

Default cargo area light bulb

Has anyone changed the light bulb in the cargo area of their coupe? The manual calls for a C5W. They seem to be about 1/4" too short for the fixture. I found a longer bulb of that type however it is a higher wattage and gets too hot. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to fit one of the LED license plate fixtures that replace the OEM ones. They are brighter and all the light goes into the trunk, the OEM bulb lights up the trunk behind the trunk lining.
The LED fixture fits directly into the OEM cut out. There is a PDF of this mod in the Lighting section in my link below to Crossfire Problems .... CLICK
