Default Cheap Suspension Installs in SoCal

I've been a mechanic at Tustin Lexus for nearly a year and worked on cars all my life. So my work is up to par with anyone else's in the industry, but I won't charge you the ridiculous prices other people will. I'm more than happy to do suspension upgrades/installs on anyone local enough to make the trek to my house. PM me, if anyone is interested. I stand by my work 100%. It makes me sick to see some of the prices people are paying to have these suspensions installed. Its about a 5 hour driveway job. Again, PM me if interested, my name is Kyle Wink, same as my handle.

yeah 21 years of awesomeness i like to say. but in all honesty its a very simple job, you just need the right tools and some time. i'd say most of the people on this forum could pull this job off no problem, but most people are afraid. i'm not afraid so, i offered up my services. if people would rather take it to a shop and pay their unreasonable prices then so be it. i was just trying to lend a helping hand. we do need to set up another hookup, that was fun last time. let me know dan.

You're right. But the special tools, then place for doing that (lift), realignment, specified adjustment of headlights and not to forget possible loss of warranty. Even more, after such modification, we need to get an approval from technical inspection authority. You can imagine what jerks they can be when you show up as private person. The guys know how to keep us coming in...

the special tools needed are nothing but some basic metric sockets and one special torx bit, i had to buy from sears mid job. no lift is required, just some jack stands and a good jack. realignment is not even possible being as that nothing is affected but camber and there is no adjustment for this problem, headlights need not be readjusted if the drop is done properly, and warranty is 100% lost on all suspension components after modification no matter who or where you are. no such authority exists in the states and even if they did how would they know you changed a thing? there are so few of these cars they can't tell you modified it at all. so i guess we have it easier over here in the states.

Oh yes how right you are. When I remember what rides I saw in the US (mostly in SoCal ;-) ... unthinkable here! Our authority knows very well what is standard and what's not. A lot of norms and limitations. Periodically checks of every registered car, etc. Sometimes horrible. Even my red lenses in the rear bumper are not allowed. Cops might overlook but the authority will.

I wish you good luck with your installations and a lot of customers!
