I apologize if it’s been posted here before and I just couldn’t find the posts but does anyone know anything about this crossfire build and if it was an owner custom job or if a shop did the work and maybe has diagrams or anything? I’ve thought about a wide body build ever since seeing this but still not sure (even having access to a body shop owned by my grandfather) if it would be worth it if every single piece was custom built for this car....
Just to provide my own short update on this post. I have since been in contact with Liberty Walk and I can now say for sure it is NOT any actual Liberty Walk kit or panels what so ever and the owner must have done some sort of custom job! Sad as I am now buying everything for my build and I love the look of that wide body!
I would suggest before you get into body work flaring out the fenders, etc. you buy the rims and tires you expect to put on your car and determine the work that will be necessary to suspension/steering to fit them, and then run them on the street. Steering and brake caliper clearances will get your attention and then modifications to the fender flairs will be consequential. That is of coarse if you intend to drive the car on the street, or race it in competition; If it is a show car going and coming on a trailer, that is entirely different.
I can’t remember his name but he posts updates on this in one of the many Crossfire Facebook groups. IIRC he was looking at possibly making extras if someone else was interested. I’m not 100% on which groups but I’ve seen it from time to time.
