Has anyone had their cluster replaced and check engine light question
I had a bulb that was burned and so they had to replace my cluster. They put a new cluster in but then the mileage came up as ---------. One tech thought it was because they forgot to confirm the mileage when it first was hooked up? Do they have anyway to reprogram the mileage other than ordering another one? They are now completely locked out of my car's computer. Also my check engine light keeps coming on, especially when the car is first turned on. Supposedly the code always said "gas cap" which I think is bs so they ordered me a new gas cap and it still comes on. Then the next code said there was an air leak but they thought it was because of the gas cap. Obviously they have no idea why it keeps doing it. Does anyone have any suggestions for both of my problems, perhaps from personal experience with their own car?
If they can't figure it out ask them if they will cover you to take it to a MB dealer.
Be persistent it is their responsibility to fix it and no excuse can change that.
You will only get what you accept. Good luck.
