Continental tires on back worn out
for those who aren't sure of the difference between directional, unidirectional, and asymmetrical tires and how they are mounted here's a link that will explain it nicely:
http://www.geminicarcare.com/faqs/mounting.html
by definition, the PS2s are asymmetric tires.

And after reading this far, consider the Goodyear Eagle F-1 GS-D3 as a replacement (as long as you do not need to drive in snow).
I started with the Contis, went to the original Michelin Pilot Sport design (tractor like handling) on new Ronal wheels, replaced them with Eagles. The Eagle is a bit better ride with a lot less noise on Colorado roads than the Michelins. They are tremendous in the wet.
They are tremendous in the dry. The Eagles also have a nice wheel protecting strip on them. Might be a bit more money, but its a good trade up.

I know this is a dead thread, but I just wanted to chime in since I just had new tires mounted today. The Continental All-Seasons are not directional, as well as Michelin Pilot Sport PS/2's. However, the original Michelin Pilot Sports and the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (what I just put on) ARE directional (with "rotation" and an arrow on the sidewall).
Oh, and I just replaced the Continentals after 22,500 miles...the rears had very little tread left and the wet traction was becoming unbearable. The fronts do still have probably 2-5K miles left in them.
Mmmm, rubber.

In the end it still states" The tire should be dismounted and remounted to roll in the proper direction."
SO why would the manufacturer put those words on the side of the tire? They are on the OUT SIDE of the tire for a reason. This is a fail safe CYA for the tire manufacturer. Tread Design is very particular. Ask Michelin and Continental. I stand by my words.
