Default 2004 Chrysler Crossfire

HELLO, first time here, I was wondering if anybody ever had these same issues.....as I have...My car all of a sudden just won't start.... Last year it just shut down in hot weather at times and now...All the lights. Bells and whistles standard noises made when you try to turn the key and start the car all go off light up as normal...but ! The starter never goes to point of engaging in the process and nothing but the lights and standard sitting jin the cab noises light go off, just no motor turning over like message to the starter to do it's job is ever received or sent! What on earth could this problem possibly be? It's gone from running fine to this on a 124,000 mile vehicle...?? Any help for a guy stuck at home in Pa.?

Have you had the battery load tested? Cables and terminals clean?

When you try to start the engine do you hear the starter motor itself turning? If so the you might not have enough voltage from the battery to make it engage. It could be a bad ground, the Bendix drive (the part that pushes forward to engage the flywheel), etc...
You might want to put a battery tender on it for a day or two if you have one. Then take it off and immediately try to start the car. If it starts, you might have a bad battery.
