drive shaft problem??

drive shaft problem??
at about 27,000 miles the drive shaft is about to be replaced.
slight vibration and a low hum at some low speeds and some torque conditions. the mechanic confirms it's a little loose so a new one is supposed to be coming.
anyone else have this problem? any tips on cause.
