Default Radio Issue

Real quick complaint...

I had my Crossfire at the dealer to fix two problems.
1. Dome light had a short.
2. Radio preset button number 8 had issues (would not set & would not always switch to that station).

They ordered a new radio and replaced it. After getting it back all seems well except when you press the number 8 preset it doesn't always switch immediately. All other presets work great. Heck if you just barely touch them the radio switches to that station. I have to deliberately press on number 8 to get it to switch. I took it back to the dealer to inquire about this. They weren't sure about this problem (go figure). We looked at a new Crossfire on the showroom floor and it's radio does the same thing with the number 8 preset.

Does anyone else notice this? Is it possible I have come across three separate radios with the same issue?

Just curious

-Erick

Mine is exactly the same! The number 8 button. When flicking through the presets, every other button is fine, but you have to end up pressing the 8 a few times before it changes station.

Mine is the same too. Number 8 needs to be pressed a few times. I just put a station on #8 that I don't listen to often.

Mine does the same thing too (thought it might only be my radio). Let me know if anyone fixes this problem.

Just went out and checked mine and it is fine just like all the others. They are all very sensitive to the touch, no hard pushing.

#8 works fine for me but the "TP" button requires a firm push to get it to activate...

What is the deal with the cd jack on the back of head unit?
I was thinking of an ipod interface and read a post that said the jack is on the head unit but there is no internal components for it?
I never heard of a manuf. making a unit with dummy jacks before, is this normal?

#8 button works fine on mine. Something that started happening is when I'm listening to a cd, it would sometimes switch on its own to a radio station (preset #7).

Has anyone experienced the same problem?
