Agreed. It's the same grill that I posted in #17 in this thread, which also has the matching lower mesh areas as well. See that photo for more detail.

Maybe we can wait for other ideas then we can start a poll on the grill. Tino from www.CTD-Germany.com is monitoring this thread anyway.

We have 6,000+ members in this forum and I bet CTD-Germany won't be disappointed once a good Crossfire grill is on sale!

Sure

I do like that line going down the middle though. It makes a nice statement.

My 2 cents...

I happen to like the grill as it is from the factory. It matches the lines of the car perfectly and the horizontal elements carry through to the side thingies (I'm having an Alzheimer's moment and can't think of what those louver things are called). With an Aero Blue car, I also prefer it all in the original satin silver as opposed to chrome or otherwise.

This is probably the wrong thread for this particular question, but am I the only one that prefers the original grill?

The line in the middle follows the line in the hood and roof.
I like the original grill (with chrome covers now) but if this one comes out great, I'm for it!

This is a thread for people that want the grill, you don't have to get it so why post that there? Its not an opinion thread, its a I WANT THIS THREAD.

Thanks

Cyril yeah, that break n the middle looks real nice.

We are lucky that CTD-Germany would like to do it for us if the demand is great. This is another way we all can have the aftermarkets that we all wish we have.

And I am happy right now with all the aftermarket mods that I have in my crossfire (see my gallery) which can make you say "I want mine to be different too!"

...and if CTD is serious they would want both opinions... positive obviously outweighing the negative...

i like it
as long as there isn't any front body alterations where i couldn't replace the original back on... so 20 years from now... the value would not be any less with aftermarket grille.

It should be installed and removed like the stock grill.

^^^ Yes like a stock grill. I am hoping it is a nice sturdy piece. I really like that Bentley grill.

Sorry about the opinion. I didn't mean anything by it.

I think the grill has to be flush with the body. Looks cheap with it set back and I think the vertical line is good. With the grill set back it looks like a silly grin. Maybe somebody could come up with a photoshop with multiple verticals to match the look of the strakes in the hood.

It should follow the way the stock is flushed and the center line can be the same as the center spine on our stock grill and flushed out from the grill for a more aggressive styling.

We have a car with a great European styling inside and outside. However, I believe the reason DC is making our front grills same as the Mercedes, is for a cross identity between a Merc and Chrysler (wing emblem) whenever people sees our crossfires.

But every Japanese cars have similar horizontal grills like what our crossfires have and it is a little outdated in style. Latest Euro styling for front grills now are mesh grills like the Bentleys and Jags and adding this kind of grill in our crossfires will just make it much more unique and modern.

Don't get me wrong, the crossfires look great even without mods on it right now but as time goes and the more crossfires you'll see on the road the more you want your own to look just a little different and BETTER looking than the original styling.

Hey CTD, see this? If you build it, it will sell. I really like where this is going. If CTD doesn't build it, I will.

Yes, same profile as the stock grill.

Yes, a vertical break like that Bentley grill and if it follows the design philosophy of the "crease" that would be incredibly cool.

But please, not that cheap as* thin mesh from that silver car. Vomit.
