we have take the same outline for the fake picture. you can see it in the picture with the open engine hood. so you have the same lip in front of the spoiler as the OE grille.

^^^ Very nice. It looks just like that Bentley grill. The middle spar would be great if it had a crease like the hood.

You could make two kits for people that do not want the lowers. I would want the lowers to though.

Great photoshop. Good work and thank you.

This is great! Cyril has got so excited that he has posted on almost every thread in the forum. I love it .. well done Cyril. BTW if CTD would like a volunteer to drive to Germany and be the first to have the grill fitted then I would definitely be up for it (quick hop across the channel, then the autobahn - yehah!). Hmmm... I wonder if they would be interested in sponsoring my xf and just give me their full catalogue - just dreaming...

By the way is the mesh that CTD proposing in chrome or brushed (alum or chrome). I would want the same finish on the mesh as is on the windshield trim.
Just to give you an idea this is what a black car looks like with a non-chrome lower grill:

Thanks respdoc, but I still prefer the black lower grille. I think it draws attention to the lower grille which is not needed. Which is why the original designers did it that way I believe. The only think they screwed up was giving it a "brand identity" grill to make it look like all chrysler products. GM does the same thing with their chevy products. Although the hot hp cobalt doesn't have the bar and brass chevy emblem in the middle of the grill.

This is funny, I went to www.crossfirecommunity.net to post the grill pic and info. and was hammered by the members (defectors from this forum) there for soliciting! I wonder what they have accomplished in their crossfires after defecting from this forum because they are just too great and too smart to belong here!

Well... since you mentioned it, you have kinda overdone it with your posting of the grills in just about every forum within this board.

And for defections, if you go back a year or so, there was some big time BS going on here. Things were running wild and unmoderated. Many of the "older and mature" members got fed up with it, and started their own forum. What's wrong with that? While it may not be your cup of tea, you have to admit there is not all the petty bickering over there that goes on here.

Just my .02... take it for what it's worth.

We need a team effort from Crossfire owners to be able to accomplish things that we wanted done in our crossfires. I apologize for posting it on every forum and topic but part of it is to inform those that do not subscribe themselves to other topics.

I noticed it is quiet in there because the Moderator won't post any opinion that other "older and mature" members disagree with! Where's the fun with that?

Lastly, after the "older and mature" members left in 2004 and formed their own private forum, there isn't that much bickering around here anymore except that sometimes a few "older and mature" members returns and disguise themselves with another screen name and cause some trouble in this forum!

Who benefits from this? All crossfire owners including those that were against it!

As an older and mature member, who did not "defect", should I be offended.

Who cares what the other forum thinks. I think this will be a very good mod and will add to the crossfire. If they don't too bad for them, but don't bash Cyril for spreading the word.

I'm sure if the tables were turned and it was somebody from another forum posting it here, we wouldn't tear them to pieces no matter what the past history of a member.

Its irrelevant to the topic at hand. Why must the internet bring out the "MACHO" in people? Yawn.

Now back on topic.

I also just went to that other forum and to be brutally honest I think they are way to paranoid and the community here is more open minded. And I'm almost 40 so don't think I'm a little ricer kid.

Getting things done sometimes takes active and extreme enthusiasm. People that are offended by that usually don't get crap done to begin with.

There are two kinds of people in this world. Do'ers and watchers. Since I just left my employer of 16 years and started my own company that competes directly with them, I consider myself a do'er. I think most of the people on this fine forum are do'ers. Heck, even Saskins was a do'er. That other forum has it's place, but there is a reason why we are all still here. So enough of that crap. Back to the grill. CTD, I would like to order now...
