Although the hot hp cobalt doesn't have the bar and brass chevy emblem in the middle of the grill.
Interesting that you mention GM since the lower mesh pattern on the CTS-V is what I modeled my grill after.

Any reply from www.CTD-Germany.com regarding production of our crossfire grills?

If and when you ever get this Grill idea off the ground, would you please leave two induct openings in the lower grill so I can hook up "Ram Air" ducts and hoses for my intake.

Off Topic

Cyril...

I owe you an apology. You were right, I was wrong.

It seems the moderators on the other forum "are not" as mature as I gave them credit for and are in their own little world. You are also correct in that nothing new or informative has hardly been presented there unless it was reposted from this board.

I did agree that it was okay to limit your post to their classified forum, which they did. However, even that thread has now been deleted from the classifieds section. Very childish in my book. Seems like your contention was a tad too much for them.

Again, my apology for rebutting your original post.

No problem, what matters here is that we all work together for what's good to our Crossfires so that we can continue to enjoy our ride! This is just a start and if this works then maybe it will work towards our other projects because we have proven to these manufacturers that we are strong and faithful Crossfire aficionados!

I know this grill is not for everybody but either you buy it or hate it your support is what counts and will greatly be appreciated!

@firebaseD

sorry, but we cant make so many versions of this grille. the development is very expensive and needs a lot of time. i think we are happy if one is finished. but you can cut the holes on your own in the grille. i see no problem with it. no need to make a special version for the few customers who have a air intake system. sorry.

regards.

I realize there are a few of us that have put chrome on the car, and that is strictly personal opinion, however I believe most of us haven't gone that route. Anybody have a ballpark idea on what this is going to cost.
Buckeye...I agree a "brushed" finish would be a nice look. I'm not much for chrome (personal taste) and the brushed look would be less of "visual pop" which some would prefer.

What has been discussed very little is cost (from what I have seen). One guy threw out $400. What is your threshold on what you would pay? This may not be a discussion that anyone wants to have but CTD can produce the item and not be cost effective (to them and the consumer). I think the images are cool but I don't know how much I'd be willing to pay for it. Any thoughts?

If it is of high quality and I mean quality of a Jaguar grill HEAVY AND STURDY I'm willing to pay up to what they charge for those 300C grills.

Brushed would probably be the best solutions as chrome would stick out to much. I think the Jaguars and Bentleys have brushed not chrome but i could be wrong.

I'm sure they could offer two versions, brushed or chrome depending on what CTD accessories you have.

On second thought I'll take chrome.

Considering the terrific impact of the suggested new grill, I'd be willing to go for more than they want for the plastic chromed current add-on. Perhaps as high as $650 or so. I don't like the current aftermarket one because, not only do I not like the design, it looks too much like the PT Cruiser, etc, Chrysler non-exotic grill for me. All a matter of personal taste.

^^^ LOL, don't get nuts dude. The 300C gigantic grill which I've seen and is very beefy is about $300 to $350. So again, lets not get silly.

I just had the plastic grill replaced, (insurance), on my wife's 2003 Tracker and the purchase price was $750.00. Now I don't know why a plastic grill for a 2003 Tracker would be priced so high, but there you have it. hooah

^^^ Because its a factory piece and sometimes they stop making things. I could buy a replacement grill for the Xfire for like what? $150 if that. I'm sure the Tracker grill is made better. See, that logic can't apply.
