i think this is not possible if you only change the front grille. to solve this problem you can put a fine black mesh grille 5-8cm behind the front grille.

I'm interested too how much for set? Can you make without center spine? And slightly smaller mesh.
This looks to trucky style. It should be as Amg or Jaguar does theirs.

Looks great! Make sure it uses same mounting points so we can put original back on trade-in time. Non stock adversely affects value. I disagree with dan. I like center spar and larger grate. Without them the grille would lack rigidity and would be more likely to dent from objects thrown into grille. Also with a smaller grille it reminds me of the teenagers when I grew up who got cheap mesh and put it in their grilles just to be different. It always looked amateur. The black mesh to hide horn should come with it and attach to the grill or original mount points so it is a simple bolt without drilling holes. God does it look good with that grill. The stock grille, because of brand identity looks like a minivan or lebaron or sebring (I forget which).

I've found that just by painting everything behind the grill "flat black" will usually hide most things from sight. But a fine black mesh behind the grill would make it look even more "expensive".

I think a "mesh" like the Jag, or the Bentley uses would be very nice looking.

Wow, that is awesome. As you said maybe a fine black mesh behind to hide the mechanical junk back there. Great job CTD.

I will also say I am loving the HEAVY mesh and not that girly little tiny mesh of rice boys. I want it to look like that expensive Bentley or Jaguar Type R grill. Those grills have a heavy mesh and its looks like you could not break it with a hammer. Looks kinda of a weave. that middle spar is so awesome and follows the line on the hood. Without it, it would look silly.

Again great job CTD, I hope we can have this soon!

We need interested members to post something about it if they like it or not! In that way we can give CTD-Germany some numbers of interested crossfire owners. Post also your recommendations for www.CTD-Germany.com to give them some feedback!

For those wanting to keep their stock grill, you can add some chrome on it available only from www.CTD-Germany.com (check my gallery). It's a win win situation for all of us crossfire owners!

Send your Crossfire photos to their website for other car owners to know that "YES" we have an active Crossfire aficionado community! Get involved with your Crossfire community!

I think the bottom mesh looks fantastic. The grill looks good, but would have to see the final I think.

All in all, I'd probably buy it.

With a black car I think the chrome bottom mesh is too much. I would prefer to have just the upper grill and leave the bottom black as it comes from the factory. Adding the bottom makes it look too ricer. The upper grill alone makes it look elegant ala Bentley and Jag. Those cars only have the top grill I believe. By the way is the mesh that CTD proposing in chrome or brushed (alum or chrome). I would want the same finish on the mesh as is on the windshield trim. I believe everyone wants this grille to look as if it came with the car, but better. I realize there are a few of us that have put chrome on the car, and that is strictly personal opinion, however I believe most of us haven't gone that route. Anybody have a ballpark idea on what this is going to cost.

It has to be chrome. No two ways about it. Most likely an electro polished stainless steel chrome plated. I am thinking the mesh needs to be just a bit finer. It looks just a bit too coarse of an opening. Other than that, Tino can I make the check out to you personally?

Yes, it should be all chrome and the center spine should look like the triangular wedges in the center of the hood.

I think it looks great, just a little finer mesh and it would be awesome... IMO

I believe the mesh are a little bigger during photoshop so that it'll fit the crossfire grill -which is much wider than the Bentley!

But we all got the grill concept and be ready with your checks!

I sent him an email. That look (like that Maxxm posted) would be
awesome. I'd love it.

I went back and looked at the two pictures of the bentley and one has a chrome lower and the other doesn't. As other posters have said here, I think the important think here is to have the grill be flush with the body as the bentley is. That is crucial. I will buy it if it is like that. If it has the lower lip in front of the grille I don't think I will. Looks too aftermarket and not done right that way. my $.02
