Andrew are you really going to fix this site? The pictures are still messed up and so are the Avatars. I know I am preaching to the Choir, but any time line available?

I may have missed it but it seems more than a couple of days as originally posted?

 

this is the pm/message i personally received from julian:

"I'm updating everything to the newest versions. The Forum is updated, but I have to reinstall a bunch of my modifications. The photo gallery should be updated in a few days. I have to buy a new license to get the newest version of the photo gallery software. The avatars might not be lost, I'm looking at a workaround, but it might take me a few days, so if people want to they can upload their avatars again. If you look at the members list, all of the avatars are still there. Hopefully everything should be back to normal within a week, and there will be new features added".

i can only speak 4 myself but i am sure most here will agree that the atmosphere this forum provides is far better than other xf sites... there seems to be a more professional & serious approach amongst this site's users. And this is what i appreciate.

it amazes me that for the most part that 95%+ of the members are patiently waiting...

heck... pics are nice... however i can do without them for a while because if i want to know what a CROSSFIRE looks like, all i have to do is look out my window...

so the best of luck to your troubleshooting of this site... i am sure patience for sorting things like this out will get the job done...

Ok, so I'm in your 5%, Andrew I was not meaning to insult anyone. I like this site and I was worried there was bigger problems. I was just looking for an update that's all. I want to say thanks for the great work and we are all loyal to this site. xfire1 ah, you got a little brown smudge on your nose you need to wipe it off.

As far as your interpretation of brown-nosing... NEVER DID NEVER WILL... I'd rather die than beg is what i live by...

Me being from NEW YORK... by nature i am a straight shooter and tend to SHOOT from the hip... NO B.S. just facts...

My stance was purely from my own professional experiences & involvement with websites that have close to a million hits per day...

yeah... unfortunately i have no choice... and as i am writing this ...it is snowing here... AND BECAUSE THE CAR IS ALABASTER... I HAVE TO PUT THOSE ORANGE CONSTRUCTION CONES in the front and rear so that the white car doesn't get hit by the SNOW PLOWS!

soon she will have garage... as the wife and i are buying a larger home with a large garage...

so in the meantime... we gotta rough it a bit!!!

 

I grew up in up state NY so you saw a little of my NY humor. I Lived near snow city (Buffalo New York) Cincy is not Florida be like this year we only had about a total of 6" of snow. Well now i apologize for my sly remark.

 

NAP... ditto...ditto... apologies for my way of addressing your message as well... but from my side of the computer... i wasn't expecting something like that... it was like an ambush...

with that said... talking bout snow... we already have 3-4 inches today... i took photos of the xf thru the snow... and will upload them to the site... my gallery... when i can...(LOL)

BTW i used 2 live in Kent, Ohio for 1 year... it was one of the most enjoyable (and peaceful) year of my life.

Wow, My daughter went to Kent State and she still lives there. We like it, it is a small town and fun.

 

yeah it was the 1st time in my life... i walked outside in the early morning and people started saying good morning to me... and they meant it!!! very quaint safe place...
