Plastic pegs
Hi, looking at the car again, about the 50th time today and I noticed two plastic "pegs" in the cargo compartment behind the seat backs. Are they for a net or some accessory?
Thanks,
Bob

If you are talking about the plastic clips on each side of the console, behind the seats...they are umbrella holders. That's according to the sales literature anyway. Guess they could be used for anything you care to hang there.
Hey, no, these two plugs are in the cargo area, one behind each seat. I thought they were either for the cargo cover or some kind of cargo net. I don't think they sell a net and if they are not for the cover...??? It's funny, they have a place to hang an umbrella, but only one cup holder which is inadequate, unlit vanity mirror, cruise control indicator on the IP. It is such a beautiful car, but lacks a lot of ergonomics that inexpensive Japanese and even Korean cars have. Too bad...

yea, i read that also, the two press clips on the rear of the BULKHEAD are umbrella holders... why D/C treated us to 2 umbrella holders is bizarre... the clips look like we can use it to hang a suit from but the only kind of suit that would hang from there are suits for infants...

Yea, my biggest complaint besides the useless cup holder is the "No indication of Cruise On" I think this should be standard. I don't recall any car made in the last 10 years or so not having cruise control indicator light.
I don't know what the two pegs in the cargo area were originally intended to do, but I found the cargo net that supposed to go between the seats of my wife's Caravan hangs very nicely from them and keeps all the little stuff I tend to carry in the trunk neatly stowed.
As for the lack of a cruise control indication, with the drive by wire system it would always be on. The computer is always in control of the throttle and your foot pedal is just one input.

There are a couple things behind the seat backs -- there's two 'pegs' in the trunk and two large flat 'discs' behind the seats themselves. both mounted on the bulkhead... they hold the carpet in place.
Near the center mounted pocket (between the seats) there's also a pair of 'clips' that are supposed to be an umbrella holder.

Let me see if I can illustrate this more. These are two plastic mushrooms. They are located in the cargo area, on the bulkhead between the cockpit area and the cargo area, in the cargo side. They are on the underside of the bulkhead facing on an angle down. They do not sit flat against the carpeting. There is room for something to slip over them. I think the best description was "two gray plastic mushrooms". That's exactly what they look like. Hope that helps. I would imagine they are in every car.
Hope that helps,

Comes with the car when you buy it. Its automatically sent to your home if your car came with the Touring Gear listed on the window sticker under "Interior Features". If you didn't get it check ebay, there's usually a set there. Current set I last saw was in the $200-$250 range. It happens to be nicely made. The wheels on the luggage match the wheels on the car.
