Well... to all those that are not aware of current events, Chrysler is going through some changes right now!
I really did not grasp what was going on till I had a few conversations with some friends of mine that say everyone at Chrysler is running scared, about the possible buy-out. With a certain Equity Group getting Wolfgang Bernhard, to help with the buyout and possibly to run Chrysler after the buy-out, even Lassorda is uneasy about his future.
Let us just say that everyone is looking at what buy-out/retirement package they can muster, and if they are not in a good position for that, what can they do to maintain their jobs!
Which brings us to the point in question: "Pavilion Pre-Registration" - Parking for the Woodward Cruise. At this point it would be a long shot at best to tell all the Forum members this is possible, in-fact at the present time you would be better off flipping the attendant a $20 and stating there are 19 cars behind me willing to do the same!
Cha-Ching instant admittance!
Sorry everyone but this couldn't have come at a worse time... Perhaps things will die down in the passing months, which will lead to some opportunities, but for now... who knows what will happen?

XFH - Thanks for trying. I'm sure everyone appreciates your efforts.
I'm sure we'll figure something else out . . . well . . . hopefully the local members will be able to think of some options.
DCX is in a mess - that's for sure.
Members who have been to the Woodward Cruise before - how does it work? I know that they shut certain roads/lanes down, but where do people who show their cars park?
Whatever happens with parking, etc. - I'm sure we'll have fun regardless.

As far as parking goes we might run into a problem if we don't have a spot picked out in advance. We all know things at Chrysler are a mess and it might be difficult to get a spot their, but even if we have to pay it would help out alot if we could get a spot their. As far as other parking spots go, we can try to find them on the Woodward Dream Cruise forum. The link is: http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/Message.html. Either way it will still be a blast!!!
Other Parking alternatives were mentioned, but...
Like parking in the DCX lot and getting bused to Woodward...
You know I couldn't see me leaving my little baby behind unattended, so I didn't think that others would commit to this either!
Just to keep everyone in the loop, I'm still trying to get the pavilion request, by going a little higher on the food chain.
I can not believe that I've used tactics like sympathy, loyalty, groveling and begging for a bunch of people that I don't even know yet!
Well... at least you own Crossfire's so you all can't be that bad, and I haven't resorted to selling my first born... so it can't be that bad can it?
Don't count the Chrysler people out just yet, we still have some time, but if anyone can come up with something else I'd be glad to hear it!

Another option would be the Chrysler dealer on Woodward. Its in a prime location along Woodward if I remember correctly. Did anyone here purchased their car from him?
That would be my second choice if we can't get into the Chrysler display.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but a visit to the Chrysler Museum might be interesting to some, it does have allot to offer and is quite interesting and not expensive at all.

I think that a group rate of 15 people or more is around three dollars, but what i'm not sure of is if this is free during the Woodward Cruise night (Special Event)... I can't remember, can someone help out here?
C'mon some of you locals chirp up, I've forgotten...

A group of 15 or more is $ 3.00 per person, according to the chryslerheritage site!?!
Plus, it does have a lot of cool things for the car enthusiast. Of course it is just a suggestion, and I really believe that someone has brought this before. I'm just expanding on the thought and giving some additional information.

I posted this message on the Woodward Dream Cruise forum:
I am part of the Chrysler Crossfire International club. Many of our members will be attending the Cruise this year. We are in search of available parking 'on the strip' that could handle between 15-25 of our cars. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
We'll see what happens.

Well, it looks like I'm a little late to the party! I am definitely trying to go. I'm in Joliet, Il. I can hook up with FP when he heads into Indiana or something. Gotta work on the time off with work. I work construction, so it will take a little doing. Shooting for Fri. - Sat., maybe Sun. Definitely want to caravan if possible cause I'm geographically challenged.
BTW... MY CAR'S RED

I'm also late, but trying to find the time, might be taking wife and kids out west this summer. Will know soon. Short hop over the bridge and I'm in Detroit,
20 min or so.
And I'm not 100% but have not seen a classic yellow roadster register yet. If you can put me in for tentative.
20 min or so.
We don't have a yellow yet, so you have to come!!! But seriously you are not to late to join up. So when you have figured out your summer plans let us know if you plan on attending.
It's not too late for anybody to join - by a long shot.
I guess we've just been planning far in advance to try and make it a smooth GTG.
Please, anyone who is interested in coming, feel free to join us. We still have about 4.5 months so there's plenty of time for people to jump in.
I'll try to post an updated list today.
