1st Annual Fall 2007 "Tail of the Dragon" meet - Nov. 9. 10, 11
Guys, I know I was one of the confirmed but had a bit of a fam emergency on Friday and that was the only day I was going to be able to go anyway
I really really wish I could have made it.
I didn't know Allan was out there taking pictures! I work in the Wakeboard industry and he was the original catalyst that started it in this area.

You guys sure looked like you had a Blast! I was so surprised to see only one Alabaster in the group. Sure wish we had something out in California like what you all got to do.
All I can say is WOW !! What a great GTG;
a veritable Xfire wolfpack on the verge on exhileration overdose !!
I've never seen a rollercoaster of a road like the Dragon.
They should design more roads where you can plunge into a 90 degree banked turn and then shoot up a hill like a bullet from a slingshot; I wonder what my car weighed at the apex. . .
Perhaps we should write the DOT with suggestions.
Thanks to Bill for putting this together (and giving the Porsche crowd a story not to tell at the lodge),
and to Terry for cinematography.
Congrats to AMX, Irwin & Terry for keeping up with the SRT's - great driving guys.
John, it was great playing tag with you and your Toy. Thanks for helping me learn more about my new grin-mobile.
It was great getting to meet everyone; hope to meet more of you next time.

My wife took a video on our third trip thru the dragon on Sunday. It was filmed from the the passenger side for the whole run. Even with the windows down it still has some great engine sound. I'll be sending the disk to Terry tomorrow so he can add it to the dvd that he's putting together for those that attended.
I didn't make the trip down for the Dragon meet but I am really feeling
I missed the best Crossfire event ever and I would greatly appreciate a copy of the final DVD footage of the Crossfires and the Dragon. I have been involved in a couple of Chicagoland Crossfire meets and I really get a good feeling when I meet other owners of Crossfires and share some stories about the cars and this forum and do a road trip together. I was also one of the 20 Crossfires that met in Michigan for the Woodward Dream Cruise.
A copy of the DVD would help me with the void I am feeling from not being there. I will pm my address to whom can provide this to me.
Thanks Gary

Thanks to everyone for posting your pics here. The fall colors look awesome and the Crossfires of course look great too !!
For me.. the worst part was being so close (Knoxville) and not being able to make it out on Saturday... I was able to catch a few people on Friday night.. as well as going home make a hot pass through the gap.. Nothing like running the gap when the only thing you can see is what your headlights illuminate.. It was really nice that night because of all the cloud cover.. at the overlook I got out.. and when the interior lights turned off.. it was hard to see my black crossfire.. Incredibly dark..
Oh well.. maybe next year.. Good to see that everyone had fun

Brian, it was nice meeting you Friday night, I wish we had more time to have talked. I would have liked hearing more about your bike.
We missed you not coming back on Saturday, but those grades do come first. Besides, something tells me the Dragon GTG is only going to get bigger every time it's held.
By the way, after spending just one day on, and around the Dragon, I have a much better understanding as to why you moved there. I think I'd have to get a "scooter" too if I lived anywhere close to it.
But the Crossfire was a total blast to be driving all over the "Smokies" in also, and I can hardly wait to make it back down there next year.
See ya then.

There were two Alabaster Coupes, the other one just showed up too late for the "Family Portrait" that's all.
Cruiser, I would think with all the canyon roads that you have out there on the "Left Coast" somebody could put together some sort of GTG that would be similar to what we had last weekend.
PM Bill (SilverFox), I'm sure he could give you an idea how to go about getting something started.
Believe me, even if the roads and the scenery wasn't enough, just getting the chance to meet all the great Crossfire owners makes it all worth while.
Hello All ! It seem that you all had to much fun ! Me and my better half would love to been there ! so look for us to be with you all next spring . Please put us on your list . We have2005 Black CF Roaster Limited ,Borla Ex.CAI , We had CF for Year two mo.
I wish I could post some pics but its not working out I've posted some in the past with no problems but now it won't let me and i'm doing it the same way that I did before.
