Hey guys.. .long time no talk... I was actually thinking of also making a trip out to Starve Park with my SRT club (though we are more other cars then SRT as of late). I was thinking of heading down to Starve rock, making it a nice cruise on down, thru Joliet, and then taking side roads to make it the rest of the way.

If you guys are interested, maybe we can have a dual site meet?

Let me know and if so, i can set our date to the same day.

Sure, We can all meet at Starved Rock State Park in the afternoon.
Can't pinpoint a time for sure yet but we could communicate by cell phones that day to coordinate a time.

If it were closer to me I'd love to come meet some of you guys, but I'm in Racine so it's a bit of a stretch. Schaumburg would have done it, I'm always looking for a good excuse to waste my time down there. We should get everyone up here in the snow this winter and really freak everyone out

I am officially moving to the Chicago area. Moving up from Houston to Chicago, well Oak Brook. It's a big move for me, but job requires it. I wish I could make the Woodward cruise, but am out of town. However, I would love to get setup with all the Chi-town crossfires. I'm hoping to try and make the Aug 3rd meet... Valk, any info you could PM me or post or link for me would be great. Thanks to everyone, and I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone.

P.S. If anyone can suggest a good place (apartment complex/area) to live I would be greatly appreciative. Preferrably close to Oak Brook. Again, I look forward to getting to know all of you.

We will meet in DeKalb on the NIU College campus at 10:30 am.
On the west end of the campus is the NIU Convocation Center.
Off of rte 38 go north on Presidents Blvd past the Convocation center (2nd right) and then turn left into lot C3.
I have provided a link to help you with direction.
You may need to increase the size/view of this map to better read it.
Look at the left hand side of the map to see lot C3

Once we meet there we can have a pretty open road for a cruise south on Rte 23 into Ottowa and then west on Rte 6 to Rte 178 and south into Utica,Ill

This is a 58 mile drive and there are a couple good places to eat in downtown Utica right on rte 178.
I reccomend Skoogs pub
Then just a few miles south and over the Illinois river is the west entrance to Starved Rock State Park which is a great place to stop and chat some more after lunch and take pictures etc

I am gonna be at the Chicagoland meet. I won't be in the Xfire I found out today it won't be here until either the 7th or the 8th. I'll show up in the rental G8, just to meet you guys and chat before y'all head out for the cruise. Can't wait to meet all of you Chicago xfire's.

EDITidn't see that you had already put my name on the bottom of the list...I'll be there, just without my black beauty *tear*. Oh and, I'm gonna call you sometime soon, just trying to get the whole work situation going right now. I'm living til the end of August near the Seven Bridges gold course...golf anyone?

valk i will be there. im horrible at remembering since my weekends are sleep in days but i will set an alarm. idk if your interested but we could meet up around here and leave together. i will be bringing the srt and am a part of the chicagolandsrtclub as well so this will be interesting haha

 

chicagolandsrtclub is now going ton the 16th so they will not be joining us but i will still be going dont worry anyone
