Gary,

We are coming in Cathy's SRT. Period!

(Gary, you might want to change the billing.)

You guys need to let IDOT know.

Don't make me tell Cathy.

If the temps are below freezing and the roads are dry I'll be in mine.
I just gave it a nice run out to DeKalb and back on Sunday.
Just love that 30 mile stretch of highway to warm her up and run her fast.

OK guys. It looks like a small warm spell coming in by Friday.

I cleaned the snow off of Cathy's SRT today. We are anxious to get going here.

Let us hope it gets above freezing there in Chitown as you haven't had much over 32 F all month. Maybe if we heat things up this week end, spring will bloom?

The only advantage to staying below freezing is that the snow isn't melting and the roads are dry.
With these conditions I will drive mine in the winter.
Once it starts melting the water and salt mix and make a very messy road and covers the car with white salt.

Of course it has to melt sooner or later

We couldn't get a room at the lodge on Friday so we will be coming up straight from St Louis.

I-55 to Bolingbrook, I guess. I-39 and in I-88 would be an alternative.
Gary, give us directions to your place from there.

Let me know which way Gary is sending you...Might meet ya by the highway and head ta Garys with you since I am between Gary and You.

55 and Weber or 80 west from 55 and north on ridge will be your fastest ways coming from the south to Garys.

If it was me I would take the 80 west of 55,first exit north is ridge road...you take that north to it ends, take a right, first light take a left thats us30...Gary would have ta give you directions from there as I don't have his addy....but my guess is 30 to 34 take a right to Eola then a left then????

Oh and look out as ya come north from 80..first mile or two the locals watch...alot of us blast that road

Let me know...I will meet ya by a off ramp....but keep your directions handy incase ya don't keep up

Let me know what the plan is.....I'm going for a drive...its to sunny out not too.

We had planned on coming up thru Bolingbrook ( our old homestead) which runs us by Plainfield for sure.

Gary has suggested we do I-39 which puts us way west of you. Still, I'm game for anything there Riot. We could be in Plainfield by 12:00. Sooner if you suggest it.

As to keeping up, I'm giving you a break here. We are coming in Cathy's not mine.

That said, I do believe Cathy's car has come close to keepin' up with yours before. Got it on tape.

39 Where the H is that??I can just meet you at Garys...whatever works for the three of you....yes that car beat me quite a few times back in the day....But I have .5 on the car since the last time I saw it run so unless you have done more to it???

But it won't matter the roads are to cold to hook up anyway...but they are fun to slide on!

Are you going to Garys or straight to the restaurant?

I will be leaving my house between 11:30 and noon...so I will call Gary and meet wherever or see ya there, I usually leave way early to these things so I can play

We are going to Gary's first. That was the plan anyway.
We can hook up there.

I-39 is that cow trail out west of you that goes from Bloomington to Rockford and beyond.
As to Bike Cops Car, the only thing we have added is Blinky Blinker Fluid and some attitude.

Wow I am so excited to have all you guys out on Saturday. I will driving my SRT-6 also. I am hoping one of you guys who knows about the engines on these things can take a look at mine. It is still acting up. As long as the temp gauge is less than half it runs great. Once it heats up the S/C works only once and a while.

I'm looking forward to Saturday. See you there.

In response to your S/C question. If I were to guess (I am not an expert by any means) I would say the first thing I would assume is an I/C pump failure. It seems to be a fairly common problem, especially once a bit of miles has been put on the SRT6. I would search the forums here for others with the same problem and see if that may be it. I know the common replacement is the Johnson I/C pump. I'm pretty sure it is only a few hours for a DIY install.
