I'm getting the drive together for Friday if you want to join me
tadaa, my Friday run. All are welcome to join in the 145 mile trip. Should take about 4 hours or so, and that's including a lunch break. I haven't ironed out the details of where to eat lunch but I'll find something within the next week or so. We should start this run @ 10 AM and go out through the dragon. That way we get some great photo's from US129 and we should get home with plenty of time to run it again or clean up the cars for the next day.

Roberta & I were thinking of taking one of these routes on Saturday. Takes in the mountains of Northern Georgia & finishes up with Moonshiner 28 back to Fontana Village Resort. Routes are a little long, but the scenery & drives are great. For those he** bent on driving The Dragon, these probably wouldn't be of any interest.

Could be a good Sunday option?

I think we already have 2 good routes for Saturday. We have the Fat Buddies run that we did last Fall & then we have the Cherohala run too.
I just got off the phone with the catering director for Fontana Village & set us up for dinner al fresco at the Grill both nights around 7pm. Of course if anyone wants to eat at the Bistro instead, they are more than welcome. He did recommend reservations in advance. He did mention that we will have a full menu at the Grill! He promised fried pickles - don't worry!!!
T-7 days to make your reservations at the discounted rate. We also release our block of rooms March 1st!!

This is a run we have done on Sunday for the past several GTG's
It's a decent run and of course you run the Foothills parkway and the Dragon on this route.

Easy to make, I down loaded some recipes from the web, you can make it as strong as you wish or can tolerate.
I took some back from the Dragon last Fall, I left it too long and I think the apples started to grow in it, as it got lumpy. I should have ate it with a fork.

Reservations made for Friday and Saturday. We will try to get there by 9:30 or so on Friday morning. Linda ( the flying turtle) will be in attendance with her 05 SSB SRT Roadster so please add her to the list Kim. Looking forward to seeing everyone and having some fun on those mountain roads.
