Kim we are a go for the Spring TOD. The dates in the fall are quickly becoming impossible so we'll get our fix in April Already had our reservation switched.

 

I have a room confirmed for April 5,6,7 - see everyone there !

BTW. I spoke with Teresa on the reservations, and the policy on cancellations is 30 days, not 90 days ......

I watched the segment tonight....
Pretty cool to see a road profiled that I and many others here have driven on several times and twice a year and have for the past 4 years !!!

Kind wild that we do not see alot of that when we are down there , seen just few big trucks , i think saw one car wreck ,

 

The only experience I've had on The Dragon meeting a vehicle not suited for that stretch of road was a couple of years back. Coming home from Alcoa, TN I took US129 back to US28 and then home. Met a police escort for a mobile home on The Dragon. Cop warned me that the rig was probably a 1/2 mile behind him and to make sure I didn't meet the rig in a curve. Since I wouldn't be able to see him far enough ahead if the curve was a blind left-hander, on the next short straight section I came to, I pulled over to the shoulder and just waited for mobile home to pass me.

 

Last fall during my 4 runs ( actually 2 - I'm counting both ways ), I saw 3 motorcycles off the road in a ditch.

Look forward to seeing you both! I meant to ship something to you for Christmas, but I was afraid it would have been broken, so I will deliver it in person.

 

Took the weekend off hope to be there thursday. Did not realize at first it was Easter weekend. Need to get away and take a break.

well, my company looks to keep me busy that week...so it isn't looking good...I am in for the fall run...that one doesn't interfere with deliveries....
