4 and a half weeks until its time to hit the dragon

Seriously, you guys will be missed. I hope things change and you can make it.

 

Actually it means I don't have anyone to pick on LOL. It'll probably be a much quieter dragon, and they will be missed.

 

Absolutely looking forward to it...I've been going nuts...took the SRT X-fire and Challenger RT to Benson NC Dragstrip last weekend and had a blast...except the Challenger wouldn't hook up due to the cold track...on anohter note I found a house and 5 acres just one mile from the Roxboro dragstrip and my new girlfriend grew up with the owner!

 

I have an "I love lucy" type scheme to get Jason and Kyle to the Dragon this spring.

All I have to do is **** Kyle off enough that he has to come to Fontana to slap the **** out of me. Once there they'll just have to stay for the rest of the weekend.

Really the only time someone leaves the Dragon earlier is because:
A. They get so trashed on Friday night that they're so sick saturday that they say f it and go home.
B. They're wife of 2 months gets bitchy (that B with an itchy for the content filter)
I don't know of a C or D :/

 

Thanks guys! We were both really looking forward. We haven't ruled out coming, its just looking like a long shot so far. Nick, your scheme may work which is scary lol

I really hope that you bring them!!!! I look forwards to seeing Nick on the top porch, wind in his hair, proudly baring his pasties for the world to see. Maybe he can wear overalls so Fontana will have new pictures for the flyer NEXT Easter!

 

I am adding a few more people to the list. A guy who isn't on the forum called Fontana about our event & was directed my way. I have e-mailed back and forth with him several times & he is coming!!!!

Lisa aka msxfire is also going to be joining us from sunny Michigan!

The list is getting bigger & I am getting really excited.

It looks like Fontana has big plans for the weekend too. I am going to bring stuff for s'mores since they are going to have campfires going.

 

I just realized that I never booked a room!

Just called and got one of very few rooms left in the lodge itself - for $85.00 a night!





I'll be bringing some red "dessert" wine, some rum and coke and NO person of the female configuration.

 

I thought pasties were a kind of baked bread confection sold in party stores in northern Michigan.

Don't feel bad, I left early last fall - just wasn't feeling the love.
( I guess most newbies feel that way, though )

But what Nick referred to... oh, boy. What a story... three of the WOMEN here told me not to marry her - while all the guys said "go for it".




From now on, I only listen to the WOMEN here!

 

I would hope it wouldn't be this way for anyone...especially newbies.
I want EVERYONE to feel welcome and try my best to talk with everyone at these events.
I wish I had known about this.
I want everyone to leave from these events with a good feeling and good memories of time spent together.

 

To put it lightly, I'm a bit of a goof, but I share Gary's thoughts. Please if something is wrong or you're struggling to find a group come find me. I'm sure I can match you up with several people

BTW I'm the asshat with the Mercedes cap on.

 

If you ever find yourself not feeling the love, please come find me. I know it can be a little off putting to meet a huge group of new people. The great thing about XF people is that EVERYONE is welcome. My favorite thing about this event is not only reconnecting with old friends but making new ones. We always have big tables for dinner so everyone can eat together - I call it XF family style!

I hope you have a great time at this Dragon. We have a smaller group in the Spring but we have a great time. In a couple weeks we will all be sitting around trading tales and sharing fried pickles while we watch Nick parade around in pasties. I can't wait!!!
