I am really sorry to hear about Wedge and Dinasrt unable to show. Was hoping to meet all of you....as you say maybe next time. So far we have 6 cars and 12 coming in from Elco ....hoping to meet up with Dave in the am to drive in to Virgina City by late afternoon. Frank hope you are ready for us!

 

Wife and I plan on leaving Reno at noon. Should put us in VC by, well 12:30 lol. We will try to check in to the hotel then find something to eat for lunch.

First ones here. Getting settled into the room. Figure probably a couple hours before others start showing up so we'll do a little sightseeing.

1800 miles later and we are in Virginia City. Looks like a good group. We sat on the patio tonite with everyone, couple of cold ones, a lot of BS, and meet and greet in the AM. All because of a car. It doesn't get any better than this.

 

The roadster left me stranded on the freeway yesterday, so we may not bring the car but still plan to show Wednesday. We can be the chase vehicle (RAM 1500) because none of you have room for any emergency supplies in your trunks. Please advise whether there is still a road trip planned for Wednesday.

 

We'll find out shortly and i'll post up the plans. Sorry to hear about the roadster giving you problems. CPS related maybe?

 

Tentative drive wed is carson pass route 88. If you can make it in the car, great. If not then however you can get here is great too.

 

If you're making the Carson Pass drive you'll lunch at/near Pollock Pines, right? We'd like to meet the gang there and return with you, car or truck. Send me a PM and I'll PM you back with my mobile number so we can stay abreast of late breaking developments.

Immediately upon arriving at the auto museum parking lot we noticed a very familiar looking tent and some banners. There also happened to be 4 kinfolk of the car some of us drove down here.



The SRT brand representatives happened to be down in Reno, at the museum parking lot the same day we decided to stroll on in. They were shocked to see all 10 of our cars drive on up. They asked us to line the cars up for some photos in front of their demo cars and had their photographer go up on top of the building beside it to take some photos. Watch the SRT facebook page/twitter feed/SRT drive website for photos of us! Had a great time.

 

Pretty cool! I'll be looking for some of the posts.

 

We are planning on doing the drive around lake tahoe today, we will be leaving the hotel around 9:30 this morning if you'd like to meet us somewhere along the route.

Gang is all on their way to various destinations. Met a lot of great people, had some great fun, made some great friends and saw some new places. Cant ask for any more.

I followed Dave on the "loneliest road in America" NV-50. Very strange road twisty mountain roads and long straight a ways in the valleys. Hit 105mph on the straights. I stopped in Ely he went on to Ogden,Ut. Vegas tomorrow.
