Crossfires Across America #3 Reno/Tahoe - August 21st-23rd 2012
We are finally back home in OKC. OK,TX,CO,UT,NV,CA,AZ,NM, and 3742 miles. Longest and best car ride I have ever been on. Virginia City was a blast.
Helena and myself have been to all 3 Crossfires Across America and they have all been great. What I liked about this one was that our group was small, we were all together everyday. We all knew each other right away, and became friends immediately. We weren't able to do that at CAA1 or 2 because there were so many of us. We had a great time at all 3CAAs and can't wait for the next one. We had some good ideas on the patio each nite. So until we meet again, thanks for a great time.
PS
Frank, ya done good Buddy. Thank You

14 days straight days in Crossfire, Texas T made home this afternoon, and I stopped in Ft Wortn to visit the grandkids. Just 210 miles left to go. I will have close to 5000 miles when I get home this weekend. Thanks again to all the CAA crew and especially Danny and Sonia for putting up with us the last 13 days. We had a ball with U all. New friends,
I am tardy getting back to you all to express my appreciation for the opportunity to meet and mingle with such an outstanding group of people.
I have been to lots of car meets, RV meets, ATV meets, motorcycle meets, and airplane meets......but have never attended one that I enjoyed as much as the few days spent with you Crossfire owners and drivers.
Farrol and I followed Robert/Marilyn and Tom/Bernice back across Nevada as far as Eureka and then turned north for Elko. We left the next day for Salt Lake City where I had an appointment early this week. We're home again now but plan to leave next week for AZ.....taking the "bumblebee" back to its permanent home.
I look forward to attending another CAA or similar get-to-gether with Crossfire folks and will watch the forum for any news.
Thanks again,
Roger

We got one as well. It looked to me like both Robert and Tom's pics combined. Whichever one of you took the time to gather everything up, burn it and mail them off, thank you. And thank you to everyone else who has shared pics. I havent had much of a chance to get mine sorted and edited. Maybe i'll have time tomorrow.
We made it home Sat after 4996 miles,(think I will call 5000 since I haven't gassed up yet) , and 16 days in our beloved Crossfire, in time to pick our mail up, and surprise the CAA CD had beat us to East Texas, Thank you very much Robert and or Tom. Seams like our special Cars are driven by special people. Thanks again for making our trip a blast. D&P

Next time I will drive from Scotland
I admit to sending the CD with the pics. I just thought it was a little more personable than a photo bucket and then downloading. This way everyone has something tangible to remember all you great xfire people who make this forum and GTG's so enjoyable. Thanks for all the great memories for the CAA#3 and looking forward to seeing all of you again.

Anytime Crossfire owners meet and get to drive, it is a successful outing. I'm glad everyone made the trip and wish I could have been there but it's been a busy year and I had to pick my first big meet, the Dragon.
I'll start a thread in the near future for a CAA 4, but, it won't happen if we don't have a host group organizing the meet and some events.
I look forward to seeing about the ideas you all had on the patio. This next one needs to be South, North, or further East than St. Louis and I don't mean the East side of the river...not that there is anything wrong with that since the track reopened. What about you Ohio Valley bunch? You all up to hosting what I'm sure would be a fantastic group of people? Texas anyone? How bout down in Georgia? Other????

We had a great time on this trip, Eric, we missed you and Ruth but work and vacation time get in the way. Over 3700 miles for me, even further for you. Ill let you know some of the suggestions we had when the time is right. Texas would be tough in the summer, it was 102 here in OKC today so Texas was about the same. Not fun. Will be waiting for CAA4 to get rolling, Sandgrounder and myself want to keep the streak going.
