Woodward Dream Cruise & GTG - August 18, 2012 - Michigan
we have to thank you for taking the time away from your friends and family to greet a group of strangers so warmly. Thanks to your family and friends for being so welcoming as well, they must have wondered what was going on.
it was a pleasure to meet you and if something is arranged for next year you can count on us to be there.

Finally made it to Cruising the Woodward!
Thank you to Rob of NeedsWings for all kinds of great things he did for my SRT and to his friend Tom at Benz and Beemer at Fair Haven, MI, beautiful location, awesome expertise, even more awesome customer service!!!
Thank you Eric Stoddard for a chance to meet you and for your generous hospitality - I love my crossfires and I treasure the moment with you!
I have incredible great time, amazed at the spectacles and fully appreciate the great crossfire folk! IBLUBYU (Howard) let me tag along to Eric Stoddard’s and Sat dinner. And what an entertainment he masterminded, got you shake your bones laughing! Had great time with Sparkie (Steve) and taking pictures with his son Brandon (as you see on thread above) Got to see the famous BoilerUpXFire again and meet Beaner in person and his car, OneHundred80, FP, James1549, well that’s how far I can keep up with names …. but thank you to everyone of you!
thought of tagging along with Judi to the scenic upper MI but not enough time this time around …
Got home Sunday at 20 past midnight, trip odometer 1751 miles, not a scratch on the car, no tickets!
Hats off to Gary, Judi and all the organizers - what a great fabulous GTG –
hope to see some of you again at Fall 2012 Dragon!

Eric,
Several of us that didn't come to your house to meet you really would have liked to.
Some of us felt that with you having family their it wasn't appropriate for to many of us to come over.
I certainly hope we all can see you next year and spend time together when you don't have other commitments.
We are a very unique group here who love our cars and to meet the guy who had the vision to sketch what is now this awesome and rare vehicle is a real treat.
Hope to meet you next year at the Dream Cruise at Memorial Park
Make sure Molly has a few drinks before you ask her, the answers will be more entertaining LMAO
Just got home Wednesday at 9pm. Tammi and I had another great time with the group!
Judi, Thanks for taking the time and effort to get that great parking area for us! The grass area and the shade trees worked out perfect, and the amount of foot traffic looking over our cars was awesome. Thanks to Gary for keeping up with the forum listings to keep things organized here.
And Jim Harbor did a great job with information about the area, and directions to get to the different places we visited and had dinner at.
Oh and thanks to Howard for making us all laugh at dinner!
Having Eric Stoddard showing up unannounced was a perfect addition to the weekend. He signed my owners manual. He also signed Howard's engine cover that lookes fantastic.

This .ORG site has the best people behind it and if you want to know anything about the Crossfire and events, this is the place to visit, hands down.
I put together some pics to look over. Woodward Dream Cruise 2012
I will have more for the POST Woodward Event at the other thread.
I hope to see many of you at the Fall Dragon. James

Well Bruce and I got home safe and sound around 6:30 Wednesday night. What a great trip!
Thanks to Judi for obtaining such a great parking location - it was PERFECT! Thanks to Gary for posting all of the information regarding the hotel and parking pass... It was great meeting everyone again and being able to make some new friends. And the weather was absolutely FABULOUS!! Thanks Howard for all the laughs at the restaurant - PRICELESS.... Sorry we missed meeting Eric - hope we get to meet him next year...
Last year we missed out on the cruise after Woodward. After seeing the pictures posted by James, I wasn't going to miss out this year. Boy are we happy we made the trip! If you've never taken this cruise, you should think about joining next year. We had a total of 7 Crossfires on this trip. A special "Thanks" to TJ for being our personal tour guide and taking us through some of the most beautiful scenic routes. Thanks to Judi,TJ, James, Tammy, Jim, Karen, Alex, Wally, Alan & Toby for the great company. We've made some great friends and look forward to getting together with you guys again... We had a FANTASTIC time!
Here are some of my pictures from Woodward and After The Dream Cruise. I'll be posting more pics over the next couple of days. Note: This album is open to the public so you don't need to have a facebook account to view them:

Sorry we didn't get to see and speak with everybody this year. As usual, we were out crusin and checking out all the car shows we could. Still missed the Ford display and the Mopar show too.
At least I got to spend some quality time with two of my best friends, Gene and Tony.
Sure wish RickZ and his Wife could have been there.
Got lot's of lovin from the crowds along the Curb Lane, I've never had so many people take photo's of my car, far more than at any previous Woodward GTG.
I was hoping to get together with everybody in the evening back at the hotel, but I think the cool temps chased everybody inside on Friday, and there wasn't whole lot of forum members sitting outside on Saturday (at least not when we finally came rolling in).
The weather was absolutely perfect.
I was totally bummed out that I missed getting to meet Mr. Stoddard. I think his talent puts him right up there with a few other notable Automotive designers such as, Larry Shinoda, Harley Earl, and Raymond Loewy. Hopefully next year he finds time to join us, it would be an honor.
I found an old post about Woodward from 2006, I'm glad times have changed since then. Thanks to a lot of planning and hard work by a few special people on this forum.

On the way home I stopped at a Ford Dealer (Pinkley Ford) to look at a SHO.
Their moto is that "You won't find a better deal than a Pinkley Taurus."
