Jill and I should be good as well, although, we do have a wedding/Reception to go too. We will def. find time to hang on/out somewhere along the GTG.
As time gets closer, we'll figure out our timing.

 

Agreed, it would be neat to do some official XF tailgating at our hotel...

James I made a reservation at the same hotel you did....my daughter is going to drive down from WI to join me (TJ's Mom) and my son in law said there is the best Bass Fishing Store near that hotel so he might come also....might ask if there is a lone driver he could ride with if he comes or he will probably spend the day at the Bass Store...he would probably be in his glory there....hope I can get TJ to join us but he said he hasn't been home one weekend all summer.
Hope Harbor's come so I can convoy with them. I don't like driving in Chicago traffic especially without a navigator!!! Judi

 

Holy Smokes .... what started out as a LSD cruise, and after mentioning to Gary about a possible lunch at Mannys, AND the Joliet Speedway Demolition thingy, this has grown from about 6 cars to about 20!!!
If we get a few more, it might be as many as we had at Woodward, LOL ...... Geez, I wonder if Eric will show?

Really wouldn't be the same without you.

 

I know there are a few more bikes on the roads than XFires, but ... I see the excitement building about 20+ XFires doing a run together, and one of my first thoughts was of the bike runs I go on. A group of us just getting together for a ride can easily be 20. A poorly attended charity run would be 50-75 bikes easy, a lot of the runs I do are 100-300 bikes, and one run each year is probably about 15,000 bikes.

 

Seems like we can't make it to any events at the same time

Molly's grandparents have their 60th wedding anniversary so we will not be able to make it, we are bummed for sure. Everyone have a great time, catch you at the next one...

 

Just a note to be known....

Construction crews will close two northbound lanes between Foster and Sheridan and between North Avenue and Belmont during the morning rush hour.
The same section of the southbound lanes will be closed during the afternoon drive after the northbound lanes are opened up again.
Work will be done during off-peak hours to minimize traffic problems, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.

When planning this event I was unaware of this construction.
I don't have any plans to change our route but just wanted to share the info here with the rest of you.

 

Don't know if TJ told you he is coming too! Please add him to the list. Will probably have to pawn my girlfriend off on some lonely single driver if there is one....I hope!!

I'm offering up a PIZZA PARTY at my house Friday night for all those who want to come here for dinner instead.

I'm only about a half hour from Cheddar's and the La Quinta Inn Hotel and within 1 mile of the I-88 tollway.
We have some really good PIZZA here around Chi-town.
Come over and spend some time with our ace xfire mechanic RUDY (rcompart) as he installs a paddle shift kit on oledoc2u roadster.
