I've been very fortunate to have traveled to many meets and met many really good people in my travels.
Crossfire meets are a lot of fun and if you only read about them and don't attend them you are missing some wonderful times.

Re: Which Crossfire meets have you attended ?
I went to the June Savannah, GA GTG in 2009 - and bought a Roadster less than two weeks later.
Since then, I've on been to the Dragon GTG:
Fall 2009, Fall 2011, Spring 2012, Fall 2012
I was at the Spring 2010 one, for about 3 hours and I THINK I was at the Fall 2010 one as well...

Woodward '10, '11 & '12 - Find it more of a guy thing, not much for the ladies (at least mine) who would prefer shopping, sightseeing, fine dining etc...but that's OK, a weekend away alone and only four hours from Toronto! Always something new to see...but Crossfire attendance seems to be dwindling, at least at the after hours tailgate party.
Fall Dragon '11 & '12 - Amazing every year! Great scenic drives. 14hrs from Toronto, but we spread it over 3 days, taking our time visiting points of interest, shopping, partying . Happy with Fontana Lodge and the comradery from like minded Crossfire owners. Always enjoy the warm welcome and the enviable service industry found south of the border. This past visit was particularly memorable, proposing to my special lady! (She said "Yes"!)
Fleetwood Cruise '10 & '11 (London, ON) - A must for any car lover who has never attended! Crossfires arrive and park together. Usually a long day, but well worth it. 2+ hrs from Toronto, 1+ hrs from Detroit.
Old Hippie Tour '12 (Upstate New York) - Organized by "Ottawa John" this past spring. Tour was through the Finger Lake District of upstate New York for four days that included "Woodstock", ending with a track run at "Watkins Glen" racetrack. Great weather, friendly folks and fun had by all.
S.O.C.O. (Southern Ontario Crossfire Owners) - Living in Southern Ontario and lucky enough to be part of the group, we organize a number of "events" throughout the year including scenic day trips, BBQ's,including what is becoming an annual Christmas Party. The group includes "Bluecoupe", "Beaner" and "Onehundred 80"...all of which share their invaluable Crossfire knowledge...

Re: Which Crossfire meets have you attended ?
I saw this post this morning (12/1) - and have been thinking about 'what to say' about my ONLY XF meet (so far) - knowing that there would be those with significant lists. I attended this year's 2012
Fall Tail of the Dragon. It was a great experience. (Those of you who have read about how overwhelmed I was by all the beauriful XFs when driving up to Fontana Lodge will understand....)
It was wonderful to meet owners whose forum names I knew. Valk and I had communicated prior to the event, so I recognized his voice immediately when checking in, in the lobby. I loved meeting Pacemaker and his delightful wife, Murfi, also in the lobby, talking with Valk. And Pacemaker was the terrific leader of our'tourist' group. The best parts of the event was getting to know others - who are fascinating people even without their XFs - but hey - if you have an XF you are even more fascinating! Many people already knew one another, so we 'newbies' had to gather up our courage and just introduce ourselves. I met PizzaGuy - he was on my list as his was one of the first posts I always recognized. I found Doc by his license plate. That was fun. SantaFEcruzer and his wife Liz made dinner Sat night memorable.
Now about the driving - that was great fun too! As one of the less adventuresome, the drive was fantastic. Just enough challenges for exhiliration! Lunch in Dillsboro was great. Some kind of sidewalk festival going on that added to the enjoyment of the lunch break. (Thanks again Pacemaker, for checking this site out in advance - and for the great side roads you discovered!).
Bottom line here - for one for whom this was a new experience, it gets 5 stars!

Re: Which Crossfire meets have you attended ?
Have only been to CAA#3 in Virginia City, NV. Had a great time, met some really great people. I was amazed the distances some of the people drove to meet up, and was very glad to get the chance to meet all of them.
Thats really what its about, the scenery was nice, the rides were fun, but meeting and shootin the bull with everybody during and after the runs was what made it all worthwhile.
Maybe this year I can attend the NW gathering, guess work schedule will dictate that...
