The Florene Group made it in. We toured around the Cincinnati area and had dinner. We will be leaving at 8am Friday. See you there.

 

Gary... lots of questions about what runs, etc, will happen on saturday.

With 50 or so cars, maybe we can have:

Nick's pants on fire devil run.
Pacemaker's run (to Franklin?)
A Cheahala Run
and, maybe a run to the SMokey Mtn. Park, back thru the Dragon?

 

And dont forget the run that Osofast2 is doing to the "Wheels of time" museum and the brewery Saturday.
I'm just riding this fall (no car) so I'll need the regulars who know the routes to step up and lead.
Needing this from the leaders on Sunday as well

Meeting in the lobby tomorrow night about 9pm with all the group leaders front and center.

 

Got it! I'm not really that "up" for the Devil's run ... I'd rather lead Franklin or Chera-haul-azz.

 

My group will be pretty easy going day , everybody may need to check and see if park roads are open, because of the Gov shut down

James & Tammy - Thanks for the great tour of Cinci/Covington. Amazing scenery.

 

As I understand it the only road open in the park is 441 between Cherokee and Gatlinburg.
A great ride to avoid backtracking would be Gatlinburg then Walland to Townsend to the Dragon.

I am still trying to catch the tail end of the Skyway run or anything else going near Knoxville.
So far it is looking doubtful without a time table or route. I am stuck here until Saturday morning.

 

If you're willing to post your phone number here and an approx time and location and specify a time to contact you on Saturday morning it might still work out.
If a group is in that area it might be possible to connect with them.
Timetables are never really defined....that's how we roll

 

My guess is that the "cool kids" are all asleep now at Fontana Lodge now (2am) ...lol

We are about to leave for Franc's friend's southwest of Franklin - not sure when we'll be back to Fontana, but Franc did mention that many want to be back 'early' (Early to me is 3 or so, since we usually return from our runs by 4 or so.)

I do'nt know what we'll do the run you are referring to, that is our "Smokey MTN. Run".
Tonight at 9PM, we will make up our minds as to what runs we do.

And I don't know where "Wheels of time" is... but that would be another run we make.

Flight is on time as of now
Flying into Knoxville arriving at 11:49am
Might meet up with the Florence convoy if our timing works out right.
Be at Fontana about 2pm if all goes as planned
