For those of you joining in on Howard's GTG here I just want to tell you something about your host here.
HOWARD is a true Crossfire enthusiast and loves to get together with other Crossfire owners.
Howard previously lived in the Chicago suburbs near where I currently live and he attended many of our local meets.
He also attended several other out of state meets with me during his time in the Chicago area and we developed a good friendship which made it difficult for me and others from around here to say goodbye when he moved out west by all of you.
I know that all of you will enjoy meeting Howard and spending a day or weekend with him.
You are all about to make a new friend and I know Howard will also have new friends now as well.
Wishing you all a wonderful time together and please drive safely and take pictures to post here after the GTG
Gary

Re: ARIZONA GTG/CRUISE November 16,2013-Tucson/Tombstone/Bisbee/Nogales
In honor of DJ, I'm posting in bold BLACK.... LOL. Just to let others know DJ fine and healthy, and hopefully we'll have his presence more. He's still is willing to do the RCM switch if you need to. Hooray!!!...... Anyway, back to the Arizona GTG.
We met on time at the Cracker Barrel in Tucson, and after meeting everyone, and discussing our options. The 4 cars that showed up, left almost exactly at 9 AM. I personally had to drop off a refrigerated injection for my grandaughter who goes to Arizona State, and started by taking a short trip to her place, but met up with everyone at TTT (Triple T) Pilot truck stop about 5 miles South iof Tucson on 10. We took a few pics there. Members that attended were Matt and Samantha (Matth1890); Carl and Barbara (CarlS): DJ (Tighed1): and myself Howard and Beth/daughter (IBLUBYU). We had 4 of us, but we had a great bond. We decided to forego going to Bisbee,AZ and just go to Tombstone, AZ and have lunch there. Local knowlege from DJ led us thru a much more scenic and semi-twisty route on the way to Tombstone. Still took about 1 1/2 hrs to get there, and DJ led, and he was careful, but frustrated, not to go not more then 5 to 7 miph over the speed limit, but was itching to go. But he held it in check, not knowing the driving habits of the group. At one time I got engrossed in just kinda looking around and saw that I was trailing the group by about a 1/2 mile, and was able to get it up to 92mph to catch up. My daughter had white knuckles. Anyway, once in Tombstone, we found a great Cowboy Saloon and Bar for lunch called Big Nose Kate's and were able to get a round table for all of us. Halfway thru lunch they had a small band and singer, that sounded like ***** Nelson, and that was fun. Some pics and a videos attached. When we were done we just roamed the town and took in some of the shops, but decided not to see the staged Shoot out at the OK Corral. We all knew how it ended anyway. LOL Tombstone is a tourist haven, and all the necessary shops are there. Lots of hysterical, sorry historical, things to do. Tombstone is at about an elevation of about 4400 ft and subsequently it was cool, and light jackets would have been more comfortable, but hey, we tuffed it out.
About 2Pm we had a short group conference and decided that we didn't need to go to Nogales, because of the time limits to complete, so we all went our ways from there. This was my first GTG here in Arizona, and probably bit off a little more than I would chew, BUT it was great to meet everyone, and tald about our cars. Hopefully we can do another one in Spring (or sooner) but farther up North so other drivers could join in. I'm told there is some incredible scenery up towards Prescott/Flagstaff/Show Low/Pinetop/Sedona. Maybe someone can pick it up from here. Howard
Edit: Seems like the videos won't load because of lack of a security token ..... sorry Also... read the sign above the men's urinal .....

on a short note, DJ say's he has a large covered out side area, that has overstuffed couches, wide screen TVs and a permanent installed keg cooler/dispenser and a soda (pop) dispenser like in the restaurants. Just sayin..
Wonder how many bedrooms he has?? LOL

I would like everyone who is interested in a 2014 spring GTG , to stay tuned to this thread, OR start a new thread at some point, and everyone discuss options. I say again, I'm an Arizona newbie, and would like input about area. An overniter at a motel/hotel would be fun, and a great perk. Meeting and sharing food and libations with everyone is the best.
